The Anchor Inn - Irby - Photo album

Great location in Irby village. We went on a Friday evening for a meal with the family. The food was very good and the staff were helpful and polite. The tables are not crowded so you can have a relaxing meal. The Anchor is well furnished and kept clean. The car park isn't the largest, but we had n
Birthday meal at a lovely little gastro pub. The food was delicious as always. Usually a place as a treat for a special occasion. We asked to be sat by the fire as it's lovely and cosy at this time of year, and sadly, only one fire was lit, and the fire by us was not lit. The service was great and t
Great food and service as always. We had the mothers day set menu and everybody in our group loved the food. Will always return here.
Had a very late in the evening Christmas Turkey Roast tonight. Epic gravy which I’d have gladly drank out of the Chefs boot. Turkey was not overcooked or dry at all, which late in the day I was worried about. Scallop starter was excellent and desert on a similar level. We shall be returning on a reg
The setting is always nice and the staff are competent and friendly. I was initially disappointed that they no longer do a separate vegan menu, but from the main menu I chose roast celleriac steak. I was beautifully presented and delicious beyond expectation. It is so nice when restaurants do a real
Fabulous Sunday roast dinner cooked by Dave, Johnny, Luke and Georgia. Best roast we’ve ever had! (And we love our meals out!) great atmosphere and service from Lucy. We will be returning next week thank you!
Booked for my partner’s birthday for 11 people relatively last minute as plans changed due to the weather. Online booking allowed a max of 10, but left a note and a voicemail and very pleased that was amended for me hassle free. Very attentive and the food was great! And thank you for adding candles
Our second visit of recent times last week and great food, great service, and attentive staff. My daughter was given crayons and a colouring page which she enjoyed and she loved her meal. Myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will be heading back soon hopefully!
The Anchor Inn Wirral is a great place for a meal or a drink. It has a big car park, comfortable seating and a warm atmosphere. The staff are friendly and can't do enough for you. The deputy manager is a lovely guy. Emma served us and she was lovely. Thank you for hosting my family on Monday.
The best meal ever!! I had the lamb rump, it was delicious 😋 Would certainly cone again! My partner had the Sea Bass, our friends had steak and belly pork. We followed our main course with sticky toffee pudding- it was so light and very tasty!! Compliments to the chef!!!!
