This is a truck stop on the A12 - not quite your ordinary greasy spoon truck stop though.
All the food is local - the breakfast is certainly highly recommended as are the roast dinners.
Very popular place for truck drivers and anyone else.
Friendly staff.
For truck drivers there are also showers and toilet facilities.
Very reasonably priced.
Good fast service.
Great service and it is ok to visit if you're not a lorry!
Saturday at about 8.30pm I was driving from my home to meet friends in Woodbridge along the A14. I was driving quite fast looking for a loo I missed the turning for McDonalds but noticed a yellow sign for the lorry park at Nacton (needs must) I pulled over and ran in. What a surprise the ladies loos clean and well stocked (no machine though). I had not noticed on the way in that a karaoke night was in full swing, I love karaoke and so walked to the stage the man who was running the show got me strait on I said I was in a hurry he let me sing two songs. I walked over to the bar and had a diet Pepsi about 1 hour later I txt my friends and told them of my find Joe said he had heard of the place but never been my friends joined me by 10pm. We stayed until midnight when the music finished. We talked a while with the karaoke man and his wife he told us the restaurant is open all night, we all had full English breakfasts and a large desert each cheese cake for me. We sat and talked until 4.30 in the big comfy chairs. So nice not to be thrown out as soon as the bar closes and have to wander to a burger van to extend the night! A fantastic place to go to or stop at after a night out as several bands seem to after gigging! 10 out of 10
Very good showers with ample space. Sliding doors across shower so whole cubicle doesn't get soaking wet. Adjustable heat and very good pressure. Not the friendliest or most helpful security guard I have come across. Good hard standing for parking on. Can't comment on other facilities as cafe was closed.
Clean pleasant showers... Food good but large servings.... Great for big eaters but not a lot for smaller appetites.
Great overnighter for the Trucker out/in of Felixstowe Port.
It was relatively late and the bloke there found me a nice spot for my long trailer combination.
Only downside was the 'mess' in the loos, obviously put there, behind the door to antagonise the owners. Why people do this??? No idea.
Otherwise a very good facility and will be on my route lists in future.
Nice premises, temperature controlled shower with no timer. Food is at good price and plenty of parking even for late night drivers.
Nice friendly service with great food clean facilities with good parking
Clean ,quiet and food although take away was great.
This truck stop is one of the few that gave a fantastic service throughout the entire lockdown period and beyond. They did their best to keep us truckers fed and comfortable to the point of the cafe nearly going broke in the process. The showers are always clean and rarely do you have to wait to get one. However the £6 charge for just a shower is a bit extortionate especially as you are actually paying the parking company the money for 3 hours parking, the seems a bit odd as surely the cost of the water, heating and cleaning cost are covered by the truckstop not the parking company. As like many other truckstops it is looking a little tired with the parking area littered with misplaced railway sleepers and rubbish. On the whole it is reasonably priced and ideally located for Felixstowe port. The food is good and priced at about £8.00 for a decent freshly cooked meal.
