Excellent Valentines 💘 Meal with friends , the restaurant, well to be honest we didn’t know this place existed in Ipswich. It was by a google search , which pick up this wonderful restaurant.
Enticed by great reviews , decided to book a table for 4 of us.
I must say , from service to meal all was great and the average food costing 22.50 per person a great value for money.
The food from appetisers to main courses all had lovely flavours . The overall experience was great with live music too !
Thank you for a great evening and see you soon .
4 of us went there last Saturday.. It's a lovely decorated restaurant, fresh and clean! We all enjoyed our meals, even the one of us that didn't know what to order who trusted our waiter with ordering a curry for him after a brief chat.. It was delicious 😋 They bought tubs over for my friend that couldn't eat all of hers, and bagged it up for her with a smile 😀 We have already told lot's of our friends to try the place, so I hope we can get in when we next visit!!! 🤣 P.S it was reasonably priced too
Outstanding value on Wednesdays and Sundays. The buffet deal was not what I expected: we could order what we wanted, when we wanted it (bar a few reasonable exceptions). All food was freshly cooked and tasted lovingly made. Some dishes were really delicious and others very decent. Service was excellent - very warm and friendly. We left completely satisfied stuffed with good food, a pint of Kingfisher and only £20 a head lighter! We’ll be back soon.
Tucked away in the estate, Selkirk Signature is a delightful place to eat. Very good service, attentive waiters that don't hover, and a good range of items to choose from, the Selkirk is a great Indian. Affordable as well which is a bonus!
Excellent Indian restaurant (didn’t use the bar side) food was fantastic, staff were great. Annika Rands was singing tonight and was superb as always. Fantastic place would recommend, even more so if Annika is performing! Great prices, we stayed all evening and had drinks after food. Will return 100%
4 of us went this evening for the all you can eat offer. The waitress was brilliant - really friendly and helpful. Service was promt and the food was delicious. Half portions of the curry were offered when we couldn't decide what we wanted - genius idea.
We are moving to the area soon so this will be first on my list to be our local Indian.
The food was excellent and served in good time. Staff were pleasant and polite at all times and very professional. The music was a bit loud, however, though I do expect teething problems on the first night as it was their grand opening. We will definitely return as it was a wonderful evening.
I came to the restaurant this evening with 3 family members and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent, the restaurant looks great, and the staff we polite, friendly and very sociable. We will definitely be eating here again.
Great restaurant. Plenty of room and tables. Myself and family had the all you can eat cook to order buffet on a Sunday teatime. Every part of the food was amazing. We had samosas, bhajis, tandoori mix grill, chicken korma with mango, garlic chilli massala and plenty of other items. I could not fault any of the food and we left very happy and very full up! Super tasty stuff. Will defo come again!
We had a really good meal on Saturday. The food was very well flavoured and the portion sizes were ideal so had 2 mains, 2 vegetable sides and rice. The restaurant has lots of interesting items on the walls and is light and spacious. The service was delightful. We'd definitely go again.
Food was really good. Waiter made a mistake with my order, then said he'd bring it out then forgot! So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt this time and give them another chance as food was great!
Fantastic food, great service and lovely staff. Very impressed, best Indian we have eaten in a long time at a very reasonable price. Thank you.
Unfortunately and it's a shame that this place has really suffered from the Pandemic and the restaurant is all but close, however the pub side of the business I am told does ok.
You can get a really good curry here and at a very reasonable price, but that really is about it, but well worth the experience.
Lots of interesting pictures of the Ghurka Regiment as the accent owner is still l believe in the Milatery. The place is run by his relatives.
A very friendly welcome and very good service.
Give this place a try. It's looks a little tired, but that's is to be expected with the loss of business over the last couple of years.
The place Unfortunately is well tucked away, which doesn't help.
Judging by the previous reviews this establishment as certainly been the place to be and eat in the past.
Give it a go. Enjoy the experience.
Popped in for the first time in years and we ended up staying all night. Nice friendly people. The manager went out of her way to make us feel welcome 👍
Recommended by my family I visited four days ago and was pleasantly surprised!! The food was fantastic and staff friendly. It will definitely be on the agenda on my regular visits to Ipswich from London. I wish I lived closer. Long may this restaurant last!!!
Daughter took me for a Mothers Day meal. Lovely people, superb food. I will definitely be returning
I went on Saturday evening with three friends, all of us enjoyed it. Good food and friendly service.
Will definitely go again soon.
Visited with a few friends last night have to say one of the best Indians with had in Ipswich for a while there naga special is something different to what the other Indians in Ipswich serve a must try
An unusual location but what a find. Having never had Nepalese food before we were not sure what to expect but it didn't disappoint. The joint owner is a former gurka and aims to bring a genuine Nepalese food experience to the table. The set meal at £15 is very good value with a range of delicious dishes, which they will top up on request although what we were given for 2 was ample. The food was spicy but in a way that enhances the various meats and vegetables rather than over powering them, if you like your Currys on the mild side then this is perfect. We were the only people in on the night we visited which is a shame but Dave made us very welcome without intruding. Recommended.
