Friends recommended so we thought we would give it a go. What a lovely pub, welcome was warm and friendly, the menu has something for everyone on it. Would definitely recommend.
We loved it . I had mac amd cheese and a garlic slice, my hubby had sausages and mash. We both had profitaroles and 2 diet cokes. For under £12 lunch time menu. And we both utterly enjoyed it. Staff were so friendly
What I think is that the Royal George is a great pub, the staff are great, as is the food . Happy that it is our local �
Just been to the Royal George in Ipswich and the food was excellent. The 48oz steak challenge is not for the faint hearted but I managed to complete it and will definitely be returning in the future to work my way through those challenges
Excellent food and sevice only thing that let it down Was The toilet not dirty or smelly just looking a bit tired otherwise would definitely go back

We had a great meal food was excellent and the service was on point we were served by Sara who was lovely and professional would highly recommend for a nice lunch or evening meal out !

Really good food and drinks for really good prices. Lovely atmosphere for every demographic and friendly waiters (especially Liam!) I recommend the Royal George to all my friends and family.

Definitely recommend here! The deals are fantastic value. My mum had the gammon and said she couldn’t fault it. Beautifully cooked and very tender. I had the lasagna and thought it was absolutely delicious! Everything served quickly. Deals on drinks are good value too! Staff were friendly and polite. Micheal was a star! Highly recommend this place!

Huge Improvement! We have just got back from a Sunday Afternoon here and the food, service was fantastic. We last visited in the summer and the food was poor but they have turned it around and was very impressed. Thanks to the chefs and the hard working staff. 10 out of 10!
I eat regularly at the Royal George with friends from our Golf Club - usually on a Friday lunchtime. We book in advance and are given the same table each week. The food is tasty and hot and there is an excellent choice to be had.Lisa is very friendly - knows all our drinks off by heart and can’t do enough for us. All the team are friendly and provide a very pleasant experience. I also eat at the Royal George with my family as we think it is excellent value for money and the food is lovely.
Brilliant for casual dinner or lunch. Nice place with good food. There are some good options for grilled food. We have been served quickly, prices are competitive, and the car park is right in front of the entrance.
We had such a lovely evening at The Royal George. A lovely atmosphere and fabulous food which didn’t break the bank! Annie made our evening perfect with great humour and friendly nature!! Will be returning!!!
We have been going to the Royal George for 15 years, now we are retired we go three times a week and have all our family parties there.
The menu deals make it very affordable especially for us and our family.
The food has always been hot, cooked to our liking (I am a qualified chef so not always easy to please) and we have no complaints whatsoever.
The staff have always been very friendly, very approachable and always make our visit enjoyable, and will go out of their way if we have any special food needs especially for our grand children.
Everyone works so hard in an industry that can be challenging at times.

Great local pub with friendly staff, lots of space and tasty - great value - food. The facilities are clean and relatively modern. The Roast Dinner is excellent. Good range of beers & ales, both local and international. Several vending machines (grabber claw type, for the kids) and a pool table and dart board (with arrows available behind the bar). Lots of outdoor seating and parking on site.

We hadn’t booked. We arrived on a Sunday evening about 5.30pm. We were greeted by staff and given the opportunity to choose where we sat in the pub.
We were advised about the option to order at the table using the app or through the staff.
We decided to order through the waitress.
We was not advised of any items not being available. We ordered a sharing platter. It was very generous and very tasty. The food was hot and the service was quick.
We ordered a biscoff cheesecake each. The cheesecake in my opinion was very bland it needed a bit of sauce or flavour. The strawberry was tasty.
If you hold a blue light card, the Greene king pubs offer a 20% discount.
I would visit again and recommend the Royal George to friends and family.
Stopped by to catch up with friends. Really nice, clean pub. The bathrooms, despite being worn down, were very well kept. Food was good. There are options for many different types of diets. Plenty of seating and standing areas. TVs located throughout. They also have some food challenges, if you're into that sort of thing.

Enjoyable meal had here as part of a family get together. Good choice on the menu and look out for the offers available to make it even better value. Friendly staff and clean facilities.

Cheap and cheerful food, and if plates as well. Staff are friendly enough, pub is clean and tidy. Drinks are very reasonable as well. Good place to go for a quick bite to eat.
