Really nice pub, the improvement made to outside is fantastic. Never had a bad meal here, great spot. Only reason a 4* not 5* is because I feel they need some better value wines. It’s about £10.00 for the cheapest dry rose and be nice to have an alternative.
Absolutely amazing meal. I get squid everywhere I go and this was bloody lush amd a huge portion....and the pan fried salmon with risotto....chefs kiss!!!! And the mulled wine, so smooth amd boozy ❤️
Lovely pub, very cozy as was expected - although it was a bit of a squeeze. Service was excellent and the staff were very amicable. Food is on the pricey side, but the serving sizes are good and the quality is also good. Nothing to rave about, but a pleasant place for lunch.
We have visited here several times now. The menu has several pub classics as standard, supplemented with weekly specials. We have never been disappointed with our choices. The Sunday roasts are excellent too. Good selection of beer. Follow them on socials to see the menus.
Excellent food and service. This restaurant/pub is very lovely with an outdoors seating that is an ideal place to bring your dog. The customers don't mind it as many do bring their dogs and the restaurant provides a water bowl. The entire team of servers were very welcoming and friendly. They were
This lovely pub was recommended to us for a great vegan roast. And we were not disappointed! We were craving some veg after being away for a couple of nights and having mainly junk food and this was hitting just the right spot. The vegan haggis is great with lots of said veggies, roasties and gravy.
Excellent pub, good beer and food, very lively and fun on ITFC match days.. Match day menu is mainly themed burgers and sandwiches but I believe they offer a more sophisticated menu on other days.
Had a lovely meal there, staff were friendly and attentive. Decent beer, wine over priced (£25 for a bottle of house white)
Got to go for dinner before the Watford game, the staff are so friendly and helpful and when it's busy they get more staff :) The food is delicious, home made and good value for money, I recommend the Mighty Morsy - it'll also keep you going for some time! A lovely ambience both inside and outside
Visited for Sunday roast on 22.8.2021. Arrived at 5:30pm. Plenty of seating inside and out (although we did call ahead to reserve a table, and would still recommend that). Staff very polite and helpful. We had the roast beef. It was pleasant. Good value.
My friend and I meet up here each month for chilli and chat. Great food and awesome beer. They still have a £10 main meal menu, which is really appreciated.
Great place to prepare for a match at Portman Road. Extremely popular with the home fans - may not get a seat. If you do have the cheesy chips with chilli beans. Great pint of Adnams too
Popped in for lunch today and it was very nice. The outside area has been done up so when they are allowed to open fully it will be very nice. Feel Covid secure so very happy. Food was a little slow to come but that seems to be the same with a few pubs I've been to so not marking down for that. I ha
Amazing . tops all the roasts I've had in Ipswich. Their chef is a Master.. Gold ⭐ Star. Plenty on my plate. Hard pushed to finish.
Incredible food and service. Sunday roast was top notch with friendly servers and crowd. Must try for visitors especially. We were essentially turned away from a nearby establishment, but welcomed almost as regulars into the Greyhound.
Hats off to these guys! Beautiful pub, indoors and out. Call to check the hours before you go, they change quite often and are posted at the front entrance. Weekly specials are quite lovely and right across the street from Christchurch Park. We will be back!
THE BEST roast I've ever had from a pub, just superb.Lovely staff members who are very attentive.Pods in the garden are a nice touch.
