Absolutely fantastic lamb bhuna. Great service. Only negative was the dips with the poppadoms, not enough of them!

We have come to this Indian restaurant through looking at the google reviews and have been very satisfied with the food. The food was fresh, well presented and most of all, the pure authentic indian food. I have hardly had biryani anywhere out but it was appreciated much in the reviews so on the very first day of our visit, we have ordered chicken 65 as started and chicken biryani. both dishes were fresh and mouth watering. The biryani was good in portion size for two people. Loved it. other than this we have ordered lassi, which was just alright. we have visited the restaurant for every dinner for out 3 night stay at Ipswich and did not think of going to any other restaurant for food. Next days we ordered chilli, chicken, dal makhani, garlic and butter naan, chicken tikka kabab and biryani again. all of it you can try as they are very delicious and satisfying. The staff has been good, but service was a bit late. I just wonder due to holidays the restaurants was not very crowdy yet the staffs were not attentive to handle few tables. If you are looking for authentic indian food I would definitely recommend you to go to ChutneyZ. if I am anywhere near to Ipswich I would again go to the restaurant for the lovely food. parking: No parking at the site. Best is to park at Athena hall (cheaper) or Duke street car park (costly) Toilet: Yes, available at the restaurant

I recently dined at an Indian restaurant in Ipswich that was recommended to me by a friend. The food was good, with a mix meat starter that I would rate 5 out of 5 stars, and the malai kofta curry and zalfrazie lamb curry, which I would rate 4 out of 5 stars. However, the food did not seem freshly prepared and tasted reheated. Unfortunately, the service was quite poor. We only had contact with the waitress at the beginning when we placed our order and when our drinks and starter were brought to the table, after that we been forgotten. The main course was served by one of the chefs, luckily, who came with two plates on in each hand, which made him unable to clear the table after starter. The cleanliness of the place was also lacking. We initially sat near the toilet and noticed a strong urine smell coming from it. We had to move to another table, and from there, we noticed how dirty the windows were and how the dust had taken over the place. Overall, my dining experience was very poor, and it did not surprise me that the place was empty at that time. I believe that there is a big potential for this restaurant if they improve their cleanliness and staff training.

Turned up at restaurant without a booking as visiting Ipswich for the derby match tomorrow. They had tables set for work Christmas parties and they had one table for two left which they kindly let us have. The service was excellent very courteous and friendly staff. The food came out hot, it was plentiful, mouthwatering and very delicious. We had starters a main course and dessert. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back again. Thank you so much

Danke - Wir kommen gerne wieder!!! :) (Translated by Google) Authentic Indian food and very friendly service - we felt very comfortable and ate excellently! Absolutely delicious Indian food with a modern zesty twist... You absolutely must try ChutneyZ. My first visit last night and I left with a song in my belly and a massive smile on my face. ChutneyZ is so refreshing compared to your average British Indian restaurant. Every mouthful hits you up with a extra layer of flavour and pop of fresh zestyness... The chef obviously understands flavours very very well. You must try ChutneyZ. Try the chicken 65, it has 65 different spices and the flavour is just out of this world. Please try it and like my reviews, so that I can keep on sharing more exciting new places with you 🙏😜

Excellent food, this was my first time visiting on Friday with my friend for lunch and the sweetcorn soup, vegetable samosas, onion baji and vegetable biryani was so amazing. Every thing had a kick to eat but loved it 😋 Excellent service and very friendly staff. Even had left overs and that was soooo delicious 😋

Thank you Chutneyz for being so accommodating to my dietary needs and kindly explaining all the dairy-free menu options that were available to me, there were so many and it was really lovely of you to take the time to do so. The lamb rogan josh was perfectly spiced with melt-in-the-mouth tender lamb. The roti hit the spot too - can’t wait to try all your other dishes! Great value and atmosphere too!

This is the best Indian restaurant in Ipswich. The food close to what I had in Bangalore. Really great. Starter Chillie chicken with sweet pepper. See picture. Absolutely on the mark spiced beautifully, chicken moist in batter slight sweetness to the sauce, slices of Chillie and sweet pepper red onion and robust lettuce to give crunch. Great dish. Main Paneer saagwallaer think that is how to spell this. Basmatti rice served with poppadom mango chutney and tawa rotie. Really nice presentation pander soft and creamy with a spinich puree slightly spiced, if anything under spiced (but will cover later on why) tawa was good not oversized just nice. Poppadom chutney and rice very good but plain and as you would expect. Pudding None Tea /coffee Masala tea very unusual to find but available here. Nice brew not sweetened so had to add own sugar, down side strength of tea upside very unusual and fantastic to finish meal. Cost Very affordable. One waiter very good English attentive but not in your face. Makes seggustios on accompaniments without being over bearing. 15 single bar type seats 10 * 4 seaters. 2*2 seated. Open kitchen you can talk to chef wow. Place very clean Chef and owner came to chat after I finished meal. He told me they are only open in the past 2 month. We spoke about food and he explains that he trys to gage how to spice the food by looking out of kitchen at how the starters were received and this can be all little off but he tend to under spice allowing people to ask for additional. I like high spice so will request next time. On visiting second day owner (chef) instantly came over greater me and spoke for few minutes. Waiter recommended starter and main from our conversion yesterday. It is nice to see authentic dishes on the menu and Indian nationals that work locally frequenting. Second visit Lamb yes real lamb so good cooked slight hot in a tomato dal type gravy. really nice and well spiced. I also had a garlic nan bread wow so light and crisp on underside only down was it went tough when cool.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at ChutneyZ, during our first visit to Ipswich. Customer service was amazing and the food was so flavourful! We enjoyed battered fish and lamb chops for starters. We forgot to take pictures of the mains as we enjoyed the starters so much 😀

I had an excellent meal at ChutneyZ, eating with friends who all agreed that it was the best Indian food we've enjoyed in Ipswich. The setting and atmosphere are pleasant and unpretentious. It is not a fancy restaurant, and does not pretend to be. The decor is simple and comfortable, and the focus and energy have been put into the friendly, attentive service, and the exceptionally good food. The food is authentic, delicious, and very reasonably priced. I enjoyed the best samosa I've had in the UK, and the Lamb Chattinad was exceptional.
