My first visit to this restaurant and I can certainly recommend it. We opted to share a mixture of small plates and everything was very tasty. The service was excellent and overall we had a very good meal.
This was a nice experience. Food quality was good. Prices reasonable. Service was friendly. Expect to pay around £40 per person for food and drink. Portion sizes were good. My only feedback was the noise from the ice machine was overwhelming and needs to be moved from the bar area as it really is too loud. Parking in Tesco's for 2hrs is free or via Your parking app / phone if staying for longer. The facilities were clean. Overall I would recommend
I visited Inverness for 4 nights and ate at 5 different restaurants. Hou Hou Mei was hands down the best one. Impeccable service, delicious food, and great mocktails. Tempura was lightly fried and not too heavy, chicken skewers were moist, and pavlova dessert was fantastic. Highly recommend! Reservations suggested for busy weekend dining nights.
The best food we had in Scotland hands down. The best asian/Chinese food we have had in a resturant ever. Service was excellent, food was super delicious. Definitely reccomend getting a few starters and a main dish to share and doing the same with desert if you still have room. Cocktails were yummy, but the highlight is the food. Make a reservation!
We got 2 drinks each, pork wor tip, bbq bao buns, pork belly udon noodles, pear and toffee Pudding, and the Chai creme Brulée
I think I may be in love with this place. First time visiting last night & did not disappoint. Food is well priced. you defo won’t be going hungry. Quick service & relaxed atmosphere . Will be back soon🙌🏼🥰
The best fusion/Asian food we have had in the UK. Everything we ordered cocktails, starters, main course and desserts were great. Reservation recommended a d staff were very friendly.
Finally got a reservation here! Omg now I know why it’s so hard to get a reservation here!! Food was epic along with service and vibe!! Just amazing!!! Can’t wait to come back!!!
We booked a group of 15 people, two days in advance and for a week day. It was really hard work to make a booking. I had to make two bookings, one in person with a cash deposit and follow-up with online confirmation and credit card. Then, make another booking for a separate table online confirming my credit card a second time. Leaving cash, credit card, telephone number and email address! Then, on the day of our visit, I had to prepare an email with a preorder for all of the 15 people.
The only reason I didn't give up at the start was because our bus driver had recommended it.
Our dining experience, however, was excellent. The young staff that served us were really on the ball, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and everyone in the group said that it was their favourite meal so far here in Inverness. In the end they even managed to sit our group all together.
Really nice asian dishes with something for everyone - from the more familiar to Really unique. Service friendly and attentive. Really nice atmosphere inside. Highly recommend a visit.
The food here is fabulous, and I can see why this restaurant is booked up weeks in advance.
We shared 4 small plates, and we had more than enough. The crispy tofu bao buns and satay paneer skewers were really good, but the stand-out dishes were the salt and chilli squid and the sticky sesame cauliflower wings - I could eat those over and over again.
Topped off the meal with spiced pineapple punch - so good.
Will definitely be going back.
