Came for the Sunday roast and it was fantastic, the roast beef was so soft and they weren't shy with the amount on the plate either. Husband ordered something else and didn't like it so we ordered a second Sunday roast and they took his first course off the bill which they absolutely didn't have to do. All of the waiters/waitresses were very friendly and the prices are really reasonable as well considering the quality of food you get. We aren't local but if we were it would definitely be a regular place for us to eat out at!

I work as a tour guide covering most of Scotland, as a result I have extensive experience visiting many food establishments. I took four guests for lunch today and it's probably the best lunch experience this year, a huge thanks to the front of house lady for looking after my guests from Canada and also to the kitchen staff for producing some excellent authentic Scottish food.

Fantastic place to eat, the food is delicious and if you go to have dinner, you will have live music! I would come back definitely!

Great place for Sunday Roast. Good selection of whisky and very reasonably priced. From the sound of things it it’s a local spot. The “Sunday Special” is a lunch special only. Would have been 4 stars except we seem to have been forgotten for almost a full 30 minutes after we asked for the check.

Delightful "local" pub/restaurant with fewer tourists than on the town side of the River Ness. My Angus burger with black pudding and haggis was amazing. Service was, as is often the case in the UK, less than friendly and cheerful.

Very nice restaurant where we finally found Scottish salmon. We had a sea platter to share as starters, fresh and tasty. A good glass of wine and a great atmosphere in front of the Ness. The lady who made the service was sympathetic and smiling.

Highly recommend dinner here. We had four main courses amongst us, all absolutely spot on. Appreciated the flexibility from the kitchen on bacon instead of black pudding in my burger. Mussels fresh, sauce well executed and the steak and ale pie superb. The No Bull(basically Sunday roast) meat was a bit tough, the only minor point of improvement. Service very good as well, topped off with great dessert and Gaelic coffee. Thanks for a great evening!

Outstanding pub at the side of the river with a lovely environment, the service was friendly and efficient and the menu had a lot of variety from traditional Scottish, to burgers with a Scottish twist, seafood and more. The portions are very well sized, I was already full with my starter so take that in consideration when ordering. I had the prawn quesadilla and was amazing!

Spent a week in Scotland and ate a bunch of great food. Without a doubt the best thing I ate was the Hagis Bon Bons at The WayerFront. They were perfect in texture and consistency and the cream sauce underneath and the wisky sauce adjacent made the best combination of flavors. It was so good I didn't have time to take a picture until they're gone. The Cullen Skink and Sticky Toffee Pudding were also excellent.

Wonderful dinner and service. Cullin Skink, grilled mixed fish, the Highlander burger, sticky toffee pudding, and an Irish coffee for desert. Everything was wonderful

We came on Sunday afternoon, without reservation, a couple of quite hungry people. The staff were friendly and readily made a change we asked (remove ingredient from a dish). We received plenty of food, and since everything was delicious we ordered desserts, though we were full. The prices were reasonable, and I'll definitely come again if I happen to be in Inverness.

Food is fabulous! Chef Craig has developed his own recipes and the quality was spectacular. We were only in Inverness two nights and ate here both nights breaking our travel rule to eat at different establishments. A true Scotish dining experience with a charming pub atmosphere. The food came fast and was piping hot and the service was impressive. We loved our waitress ( Kerry) . Do yourself a favor and dine here.

Food was lovely. Good relaxed atmosphere. A really lovely evening, until the end. I wouldn’t go back now as I know the discretionary service charge is not discretionary, it was added to the bill and not mentioned anywhere else (menu/website/phone call/ talking to staff). A special meal treat out after reading great reviews and was made to feel really bad and told they couldn’t remove this and let us tip our own amount, waitress talked loudly about being on minimum wage, it was really embarrassing.

Visited here three times in quick succession, very friendly staff and great service. I have the Highland Mixed Grill, the Cullen Skink, Scottish mussels and the Highland burger, across each visit and all were absolutely amazing and very well priced too. Located just over the river from the town centre, it is definitely well worth a visit.

Food was amazing but the serving staff could have been a little less hasty with their service. It felt like the food was being thrown at us rather than us being served in a nice restaurant. It was the last night of our holiday and although we enjoyed the meal it wasn't the greatest experience for that reason.
