We were really happy to be seated without a reservation (we were early on a Sunday night) and the food was especially delicious! The service was good but just a tad slow and the noise from the bar was very loud which made it a tad hard to talk together.
Mostly it was really yummy!
The vibe is elegant with tartan modern decor. The Sunday roast dinner was the most outstanding meal . The Yorkshire pudding was perfectly light with a complete of gourmet gravy . The presentation was provincial Scotland with copper accents. Staff was attentive and welcoming. Highly recommended!!!
We were recommended this place by a tour guide and so glad we went, the food was amazing, some of the best seafood we have ever eaten. We live on an island and eat alot of fresh sea food but this place was exceptional in cooking and presenting the food. We were so happy with our meal we went back the next night and ate here again. The seafood platter starter was the highlight, also the lobster and fillet steak was cooked perfectly. Staff were very welcoming and attentive I can see why they won an award for customer service.
This place was something else! They were very busy but we were able to book later for a late table.
The food was mind blowing, we got a massive selection as we couldn't decide what we wanted. Seafood platter, goatcheese mousse, ham hough, oysters. Mains included surf and turf (halibut and pigeon), ribeye and sides. We also got desserts to take home which were divine.
I need to give a massive shout out to the staff, the service simply was amazing. Elise and Nicki our servers were charismatic and knowledgeable about any questions we had. And the bartender Sharice made me a perfect after dinner cocktail that I loved.
It's worth the money and the time if you have it. A wonderful dining experience.
Had a great experience here last night.
Delicious seafood board. Love the mussels with smoke Tabasco stock. Staff are friendly, helpful. Always with a lovely smile face when she checking on our table to make sure everything is fine. A big big thanks to Elise.
We had lunch here on a weekend and it was busy. Food was nice but i hope the portion was bigger because my belly didn't fill up!
Fantastic waitstaff. Very knowledgeable about the menu. The Cullen skink was good with a light broth. The trout was cooked to perfection. The cut fries are skinny and good. The surf and turf looked good. The sticky toffee pudding is the best.
Treated like royalty from the time we walked through the door until we left. We were first greeted by James who took our drink orders after we had several questions regarding various drinks. He was very knowledgeable and drinks served in a timely manner. Then we had the pleasure of meeting CSABA. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and made some tasty recommendations regarding sauces etc. Our food was a absolutely delicious. The dessert menu looking very appealing and won out. 3 of us hot the sticky with caramel and ice cream. We were NOT disappointed!
Thank you James and Csaba for making our dinner special.
Very friendly staff, good seating with views of the bridge. Managed to make fillet very palatable with excellent sides. Peppercorn sauce has a nice kick to it and very flavourful. Desserts were delightful. Gets busy so book yourself a tablet beforehand to avoid disappointment!
My partner I had an excellent experience. We went on a Saturday evening and was very busy but attained a booking slightly later in the evening which was so good not full but still some atmosphere. The food was on point and the service very good. Price was what I would expect. So no disappointment. Very pleasant and appreciated the hard work behind the scenes and some excellent produce.
What a lovely place to celebrate, see Aiden, he will take great care to fulfill all your culinary desires , Thanks to the whole team @ Prime
A SURPRISE FIND! PRIME IS OUTSTANDING, CASUAL & FULL OF EXCELLENT FLAVORS!
As our family traveled across the Highlands of Scotland, we spent a night in Inverness. My wife found an Instagram post with a photo of the chateaubriand at PRIME Restaurant (Steak & Seafood) in the heart of Inverness. It looked amazing and I was surprised I did not find it on any of my top restaurants to try travel lists. Based on the Instagram photo alone we gave it a try. Simply put, we walked away full, and not just satisfied, but amazed.
I smoke/grill various meats regularly so my family and I have palettes that look for flavor, texture and tenderness. We also appreciate a comfortable dining experience. Prime provided us with this and more. It was the best meal we have had in some time. We all appreciate a good piece of meat cooked to our individual temperature preferences and Prime cooked each piece of meat perfectly to temperature. My youngest son and I shared the chateaubriand (medium), my eldest son had the ribeye (rare) and my wife the filet (medium-rare). We tried a wide-range of sides from smoked spiced pink peppercorn green beans with parmesan cheese, sweet potato fries with crumbled feta and rosemary, skinny (potato) fries, garlic crushed potatoes, garlic button mushrooms, macaroni & cheese, salad and more. Each bite was flavorful, but not overly so. The introduction of flavors was innovative without being pretentious and were enjoyed by our entire family (15 year-old and up). My wife and I enjoyed our meals with a bottle of Prosecco. The portions were generous, the prices reasonable for the cuts we ordered, and the staff was friendly along with the other patrons.
If you are looking for a truly outstanding meal in a comfortable environment, you can't do much better than eating at Prime Steak & Seafood in Inverness, Scotland. We give it our highest recommendation!
10/10 as always! Literally the best steak I've ever had.. staff are absolutely excellent. Service is spot on. Highly recommend!
We had the most amazing experience at Prime. The entire staff was great but especially Ali. Ali had great recommendations but also gave us our own personal scotch tasting experience since we were newbies to Scotch. He recommended places to go. The food was incredible. We had the sweet potato and coriander soup. Wow! And the rib eye, lobster, spicy roasted cauliflower and Parmesan green beans. And oh the Creme Brûlée was out of this world with white chocolate, coffee and Carmel. Highly recommend!
