Had a lovely meal last night. Food was absolutely delicious, such helpful polite staff and the pre-theatre menu is excellent value. Piano bar has a terrific atmosphere too. What a lovely place to spend an evening.
Been to Contrast for a pre-theatre dinner a couple of times in the last few weeks - highly recommend - the food, staff, and surroundings are all great and it's really convenient for Eden Court
Excellent restaurant. Short menu of fresh regional products. Very interesting breakfast menu....the pace to stay at when visiting Inverness.
Fabulous food, seafood meat and veggie all tried over 4 days all superb, with desserts to die for. Great friendly and knowledgable local staff, great location on the bank of the river Ness with fantastic intimate ambiance for couples.
The best restaurant and hotel we have been in for some years.
If you like whisky speak with Rob who will also amaze you with his knowledge and enthusiasm on the subject.
Excellent staff and delicious food with a great choice on the menu.

We had a lovely breakfast. It's a great place and we would definitely go back.
Lovely friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and the food was amazing.
Celebrating my nieces 21st Birthday. As always delicious lunch, great cocktails and service was 1st class.
Absolutely amazing!!! Was in for dinner and cocktails last night food and service out of this world!!!! Highly recommended!!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely food, great private room and friendly happy staff I will be back for sure thank you
Excellent food, great atmosphere and fantastic friendly service....
6 in our party, Our server was terrific, perfect timing and helpfulness. The dining area was beautiful and elegant.
4 had seafood and 2 had chicken. The response to the seafood was more positive, but not effusive. The chicken was okay, slightly dry, the sauce saved the meal. Also ordered a baked Alaska, the meringue was soft and silky....very good, the ice cream was not good, it had the flavor of being old and re-frozen multiple of times (slightly icy).
Amazing food🏆
Great Service👏
All staff were amazing👍

I loved everything about this restaurant
A must visit when in Inverness
Make sure you book in advance 😄

Fillet steak 😍😍😍

Great place for dinner. The mussels were outstanding, spicy with a hint of ginger. Sea bass was great and my wife liked here curry chicken too. Cozy dining room and good service.
Small romantic restaurant overlooking the river Ness. AMAZING FOOD!!! They have an early bird dinner special 2 course 18 pounds and 3 course for 21 pounds. Delicious complimentary starter bread served with 3 different toppings/dips on the side. We had the soup of the day- creamy leaks cream. One of us ordered the steak and the other the catch of the day. Both were AMAZING!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BREAD PUDDING for the final course 👌. The lemon merengue is good too. Wish I could have shared pictures, but ate it before I even realized I hadn't shared with you. Great experience for the price. Dinner was amazing. Breakfast is a hit or miss- depending on what you order. Do not recommend the Scottish breakfast here. Breakfast is about 11 pounds- 6 different choices. Continental breakfast and drinks included for the price. Liquor sold separately.
Great restaurant and service! The Tomahawk was amazing, as well as the scallops and pork belly appetizer! Weren’t a huge fan of the soft shell crab one, but the halibut main was really well cooked:) too bad there was no cocktails but they have an extensive wine list!
Michelin star worthy food. My respect to the kitchen that can send 5 starters and 3 main courses in 30 minutes with exceptional execution and plating.
The service is possibly the best in Inverness. Amazing service, beautiful atmosphere. Thank you Jasmine and everyone who served us.
My new favorite in Inverness. Appealing, relaxed environs on the river, warm service, and exceptional food. This is a vegan roll! Amazing.
We were recommended Contrast by a friend and were not disappointed. The food was imaginative, well presented and tasty. We had the belly pork which was succulent and the crackling was crispy. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and a good variety.
My boyfriend took me here for my 20th birthday a few months ago and asked them to make it a little extra special for me to which when we arrived they reserved the best table in the room for us :) The food was beautifully presented and tasted quite nice. Lovely menu with many innovative options. Did feel a little underdressed there so make sure to suit up!

What can I say, this is probably the best restaurant I've been to in Inverness. Booking was no hassle either online, through the phone or visiting beforehand. However it would be best to book in advance.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and inviting, almost a home feel. The wine cellar and Himalayan salt fridge for steaks are in full view.
Starters were Duck with Alpine Slaw and Cajun prawns. Both were cooked perfectly and seasoned really well. Great quality seafood and meat. Good crisp vegetables. The prawns may be a little spicy for people not used to it.
Mains were the Venison, Sirloin steak, Chicken and Vegetable Linguine. The venison was no doubt the best I've had in the region, perfectly cooked for me (really rare however they will accommodate people) fantastic seasoning and sides. Chicken equally good and the smoked butter was fantastic. The vegetable Linguine though plain looking on the menu, was great for our vegetarian in the party (extra parmesan and chilli flakes available) the steak however really shines, dry aged on site and accompanied with local vegetables and homemade chips. It was divine, however I'd miss out on the sirloin and ribeye to get the fillet as that one I've heard is extremely decadent.
Desserts we had were 3 scoops of sorbet (cherry, strawberry and apple) and the Gin and Tonic cheesecake. The sorbets were light and refreshing, perfectly tart and the apple had a great cardamom twist. The cheesecake was light and delicate boasting fruity and botanic flavours.
Beverage selection was good with a wide variety of wines and spirits.
Overall the food was fantastic, the staff are friendly and efficient (service was great throughout the night however due to covid our desserts took a long time though we weren't in any rush) the location is great and pricing is reasonable (better with the new eat out to help out scheme too) I will definitely be coming here everytime I go to Inverness
Family meal , took the early evening option . Food good, one small gripe regarding this , please do not send out chips that have mould on them. My main gripe was the heat in the restaurant . It is no fun eating food when ( not often in Inv ) your wiping sweat from your face . All four of us said the same. A window was slightly open but there as no circulation . Note to Managers , when hot get some fans out of the cupboard and remove the cobwebs first .
We stayed in the hotel and ate here one night which was really good. We also had one time the breakfast which was good as well.
The food was absolutely amazing. Everything was cooked beautifully and we couldn't have been happier. The staff at service were extremely helpful and polite with our waiter even took the time to help us pick some cocktails. We very much enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be going back soon.
Very good food and interesting flavors. There was one small glitch front the kitchen that was corrected quickly. To me, that's a plus.
Loved every bit of the food, the service and the ambience.
The food is great, but the restaurant itself gets really hot and stuffy making it impossible to enjoy a meal. However would recommend the food and the service is quite good too.
