We (6 0f us) ended up in this bar/bistro in Inverness because foolishly on a Saturday night we hadn’t booked ahead and we were lucky to get in here. So glad we did!! We had a really great evening with most delicious food, very pleasant and attentive staff and great atmosphere. Whenever I see mussels on the menu then I make a beeline for them and I can honestly say, these were the best i have ever had. Plump, tender and delicious, filling the whole shell. My wife had the steak pie which she also thought was fab. apparently, the fish and chips was equally nice. Altogether, highly recommended!

We were able to get a table in the late afternoon prior to the dinner rush otherwise reservations would have been a must. The food is simply spectacular. The Chicken stuffed w/haggis and wrapped with Parma ham should be at the top of your “try it you’ll luv it” list. Do not shy away from the haggis. Service is all smiles from everyone. First place that we have encountered a Scottish cider and we give it a thumbs up. The honey whisky sauce goes with everything.

Great restaurant. Went here twice and loved the food. Steak and ale pie was on point as well as the chicken stuffed haggis and salmon. Cullen skink was a great starter on a cool night. Highly recommend.

We didn't know of this place and entered by accident when passing by hungry, and it was really worth it! Food was great (we had salmon and lamb) and so was the service. If we ever come back to Inverness we'll definitely eat here, and can recommend this place to all.

If you’re debating coming here, it’s NO QUESTION! The food was absolutely incredible and the servers were so welcoming and helpful. We started with the haggis, neeps and tatties stack which was delicious — the sauce was so great. Then we shared the meat pie and the chicken fajita wrap, both were incredibly spiced and so flavorful. We really loved it here and were sad that we found it on our last night in Inverness. Thank you for a delicious dinner.

Came here for dinner and it was amazing! Really great front of house and service staff that were kind and accommodating. Had the pan seared salmon - was cooked perfectly. Would definitely come back!

Amazing! One of the best restaurants in Inverness. Why? Food delicious and fresh. Service fast and kind. Prices are good. Exactly fitting to the service and quality. Go on further like that, I will come again :)

The best fish and chips you will ever have! Something about haddock just tops everything that the cod fish and chips have to offer. The steak pie was also to die for. Get those two and you will not be disappointed! Amazing service as well and the nicest people. Would definitely come back across the sea to eat here.

The food was delicious, but what truly stood out for me was the exceptional service of Katy. Her warm welcoming smiles and positive attitude made me feel right at home, and her attentiveness throughout the meal ensured that every aspect of my visit was exceptional. It is truly refreshing to receive such outstanding service, and it has left a lasting impression on me.

The steak pie is phenomenal!! The fish & chips is perfectly breaded and fried. It didn’t seem oily at all. I would have liked a slightly larger portion of fish but overall it was a great meal!

This was a nice little place and the staff was very helpful. I tried a few different types of Scotch whisky based on their reccommendations and they were spot on. The Highland chicken was delicious as well. It was all I could do to force myself to go to someplace different the next night for dinner. If I were in Inverness for longer than 3 nights, I for sure would have gone back. I highly reccommend Number 27!

Try the Highland Chicken. Perhaps the best dish I've ever tasted. The whole meal was cooked to perfection and I would have paid double for the food. I am not usually a fan of desserts but I was so happy with the first two courses that I wanted more, and the fig cheesecake did not disappoint. Service was excellent, attentive but not overly so. It was reflective of the whole evening and I would give more stars out of five if possible.

I don't usually bother leaving reviews but this place was great, the Highland chicken (pictured) was terrific and went very well with a local ale. Service was very good too especially given they were so busy, watched a waiter sprint across the road to return a coat to someone who left without it (in Inverness?!) Definitely recommend.

The staff was outstanding - all of them. They seemed to genuinely seemed to care that everyone was taken care of. We had the fish and chips and the pan fried salmon. Both were delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was excellent. We would highly recommend just for the service and the food matched it.

Enjoyable traditional pub meal with casual atmosphere. It was fish and chips for me along with a Scottish cider. Tasty!

Fish n Chips were delicious and fairly priced for value. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was good but they needed more staff and more attention to the door. People were stepping in (including ones with reservations) and not even being acknowledged by staff for a good 10minutes+ a simple nod, or we’ll be right with you is more welcoming than making eye contact and then turning the other way. I had to raise my hand and say excuse me when a waitress came to clean a table BESIDE me and still ignored me and finally I was attended to. After that it was all good. I saw others go through the same as I was eating. If there are no tables available out out a sign up for walk-ins Please hire a host on busy weekends to tend the door and handle the table coordination.
