Highly enjoyed my experience here; the staff were really friendly, the place clean, and the food was exceptional. I liked that this place was a small, independent cafe so it made you appreciate the little things. The fact that the lunch was homemade made it all the more delicious - I couldn't recommend the beef burger enough! Lovely little unique café, I will be back!!
Back to our favourite cafe wonderful food friendly staff our happy place to eat 😁
Stepped off the sleeper at 8:30am and the station staff (ace) recommended this place to us for the best breakfast in town. It was that and more! Nice start to our day in Inverness (plus the Beatles played here in 60s sooo can't go wrong) x
First time been there- I ordered 6 item breakfast and wife same but vegetarian- the food was freshly cooked not greasy lovely waitress served us- latte coffe was lovely and hot
Would definitely go back and we will recommend here
Superb bacon rolls from the Rendezvous last week: including couple of gluten free options. Complete with the essential accompaniments, ie sauces and banter.
Great vintage cinema themed cafe. Get out of the crisp Inverness air for a morning coffee and breakfast whilst silent movies play from TVs on the walls.
This cafe has amazing breakfast food. It's cooked to order and local. They have a nice atmosphere built around being present and in the moment which is just what you need first thing in the morning and is a great way to start the day.
The only thing which could have made it flawless and a true gem of a place would have been if the service was a little friendlier and matched the vibe of the cafe. Also the prices are touristy but that's to be expected. Come with wallets at the ready.
Other than that, the cafe was so good it warranted a second visit the following morning. And a breakfast order which would have made a hobbit think twice.
We came here in the morning on our last day in Inverness, and the service was fun . The food was quite nice, I had the pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, and it was awesome. However one problem is that the music is quite loud at around 90 decibels and may start to hurt you ears if your sensitive to Lound noises but apart from that 8/10 I probably would come back for breakfast again.
Went there looking for a good and healthy breakfast.. Coffee was great. Food tasted good, but poached eggs were over-cooked (shame) and the porridge had like 50gr of peanut butter (way too much for something “healthy”).
The chef serving our breakfast this morning was an artist. Watched him turn out plate after plate, and each one was fantastic looking.
As for our full Scottish breakfasts, tea, and CBD tea, they were incredible. We loved the food and atmosphere of the restaurants here in Inverness, and Rendezvous Cafe was the perfect start to our day! Give it a try if you're in the neighborhood.
Really enjoyed my lunch here. I had a tuna salad, with roasted chick peas, advocado. It was delicious. I had a cup of tea. Service was excellent and the owner ( the chef) was very pleasant.
I would go back. Great chilling in the sunshine watching the world walk by!
Good brunch with a range of options to choose from. Waffle was extra sweet for my taste. First come first serve. The food can take little while to be serve.
Very busy cafe in the heart of Inverness. We enjoyed our brunch very much especially the Scottish breakfast with haggis and blood pudding, both of which are must-try’s if you’re in Scotland. The cafe was so busy that we waited 15 mins for a table and another 15mins for the waiter to take our orders. Nevertheless, we can tell they are working as fast as possible and the wait is a reflection of the cafe’s popularity.
Nice staff and good food. But beware of the Seagull. We sat outside and were in a constant fight with fork and knives against the seagull. It launched several air strikes and sneaky ambushes on us but in the end we won the fight. Probably the first and only time Germans won a battle on british soil. I truly never had so much fun on a breakfast. An so did the guests inside watching our epic battle.
Breakfast was good!
Lunch was excellent! Had a ciabatta sandwich with Brie, bacon, and bacon. The veggie soup was exquisite. It’s a small cafe with good music playing.
Had a delicious full Scottish breakfast! It lived up to the name the portion size was huge! The coffee was also incredible.
Great find. Gorgeous genuinely home-made soup. Huge sandwiches – GF available – and an amazing range of teas.
Good service from the lovely Julie…
So very delicious! The service was phenomenal. I think I could have ordered anything on the menu and it would've been delicious
This place has delicious food! And plenty of vegan/vegetarian/GF options that I noticed on their menu, too! The staff was super friendly and the vibe of the place was great. It was also very fairly priced, and very filling.
I had a delicious breakfast here this morning. I got the French toast with berries and bananas and maple syrup, my husband had the same but with pancakes. They weren't lying when they said berries that's for sure. It really was amazing with the tons of berries they put in everything. It was the perfect amount of everything that had me finishing it all.
Loved having breakfast here. I'd have to say, it was the best one I had for my whole trip throughout Scotland. The sausages were delicious, bacon was delicious, everything else was very good. Tea was great, service was great, the waitress was friendly, even though she was super busy. It's a small place, so packs quickly. Definitely recommend. Sidenote, my friend got French toast and bacon. It was literally French toast covered with bacon. So, if you don't want a ton of bacon, maybe just get a side ( I imagine it wouldn't be so many pieces as a side, but who knows).
Check this fine eatery out and it will not disappoint. The atmosphere is great and the food was outstanding (shoutout to the chef)! Our server Stepen was top notch as well as attentive to us. Even though the menu changes he answered my questions quickly. Flavor is king here! The owner Benny checked on us too to make sure our time and food was excellent. 5 star team!
On 15th July, my wife and I came to Inverness from Edinburgh. We visited this cafe for our dinner. All staffs were very kind and nice. Our ordered meals were also very good. We enjoyed very much. Thank you!
The breakfast was absolutely delicious. We ordered the vegetarian option and it was awesome. The staff, chef and overall experience was great. I highly recommend to try this Cafe.
