Many beers to try, I loved the Scotch ale and oatmeal stout, pizza was delish, secret garden seating was swell. We also stayed in the rooms and it was great! Small, clean, new, perfect. The staff was friendly and fun! The clientele was a mix of tourists and locals, but unfortunately seemed to be over half tourists (like us). I highly recommend this place for anyone. I recommend they get some tunes in the garden.

Was in for lunch a few weekends ago and when our pizza arrived, our waiter apologised that part of it was too overdone for his liking. He told us to enjoy that one while the kitchen made us another pizza free of charge. Wouldn’t have minded the first pizza but appreciated the attention to detail and customer service.

The beer was great, at least the few I managed to pick from 20 or so on the long list. The pizza was phenomenal. I had lamb sausage and the mint was a great touch. Highly recommended.

Great beer selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff and nice atmosphere. Didn't try the food but it looked nice, with plenty of people ordering. Did stay in rooms above bar. Basic but clean and roomy. Had the room overlooking 'secret garden'. Was so tired, went straight to sleep but imagine some people might consider it too noisy, even with windows shut.

Brilliant place, reasonably priced, pristine and well cool beer garden, tv in the room would be better but such immaculately kept rooms. Would stay again, plus loads of beers to choose from and fantastic pizzas.

Great location with a brilliant selection of organic beers. Had the wild venison pizza which I highly recommend. Can get very busy on a Friday and Saturday night. Though always a good sign. Stayed in the accommodation in February. Had my own room which was clean and to a good standard. Was slightly noisy until midnight. But you are above a pub. My only criticism would be that at over a hundred quid it was pretty expensive , particularly for February.

Well what can I say. Very good brewery with the heart at the right place and this is also true for the bar. Local and very good ingredients are a good formula which we need more often nowadays. The beer is as usual very good and they have a lot on tap for every taste. You can also get different sizes so you can try to try all of them (around 20) on a single and evening 😉. The staff is very friendly and the bar is located at a very central place in Inverness. The food was also good with some nice pizzas and also the salad was good. Highly recommended if you are a beer fan.

Fantastic. Superb range of beers on tap (around 20 I think) I would encourage everyone to try a few as you can order 1/3 of a pint to try and the get a pint or a half. They also make their own pizzas on the premises which appeared to be very popular, well can’t go wrong with a pint and a pizza can you?? Owned and run by a local company with very high environmental targets, the do carbon offsets, tree planting, local and organic produce which all go into making this a special place. I thoroughly encourage you all to do your bit for the good of the planet and have a beer or three in the Black Isle Bar.

As a Family with a dog we really enjoyed the amazing pizzas. The amount of own brewed bees available is unbelievable. We had various sorts of Pale Ale (No. 2 and No. 4) which we really enjoyed. Service is great, even for our dog they offered a free drink. Nicely located in the middle of Inverness. I can only recommend going there.

Lovely place to stay! The rooms are great, we stayed in one that had a private bathroom and it had all we needed. And then there’s a bar downstairs which has a great beer options. One of our tour guides recommended this bar so we know the locals also like it.

It’s an inexpensive hotel room above a bar on a busy street. The room was clean, and had everything I needed. The street noise was loud.. but when you’re on a Main Street.. it’s to be expected. Walls are pretty thin. Noise from other rooms and the hallway was very apparent. But again… it’s an inexpensive room above a bar. Shower was nice, water was hot. The bed… ugh. I swear you could hear and feel every single spring in that mattress. Not great. And there were only two really flat pillows. Meh. But being above the bar was great. Walk down for good and drink. Pizza was fantastic, and their garden terrace for outdoor drinking was cute. Small little covered sheds (snugs) to be outside, but out of the rain. As long as you’re realistic.. this room was pretty decent and a good bargain if you’re on a budget. Located close to the bus station, and in the middle of their busiest tourist area.

We didn't stay here but we popped in a couple of times during our trip for pizza & beer. They have a great selection of beers & their pizzas are SO good. Lots of options & all delicious. Service is fast & friendly. They have a very cool rooftop area. They are also dog friendly which we loved !! Definitely stop in here if you're in Inverness!

Nailed it. Great pizza, with really fresh and flavourful ingredients. No skimping on topping either. Piping hot and really tasty. Beer choices are epic and prices are reasonable. I really cannot find a fault with the place.

Great selection of beer and ale, really good pizzas too. The emphasis is on local produce and suppliers so you can enjoy your beer and pizza while supporting an ethical company.

Busy bar with a huge range of their own beers on tap plus a really good pizza offering too. Sociable staff, good food and beer, plus there's a secret terrace up top apparently! The rooms are decent too. Can't go wrong.

It’s a great place to stay for the price, location and service. Staff were great and helpful, and the microbrewery was awesome with a variety of product! The rooms are very minimal but it’s all you need for a short stay. Only thing I would recommend would to bring your own shampoo and conditioner! Overall we felt super safe, it was very clean and everyone was super friendly. If we ever find our way back to Inverness, we will be paying a visit.

Great food and drink. Amazing number of Black Isle brews on tap. The pizza are delicious. Order from the bar and food is delivered to your table. It is a busy and noisy venue but that is a good thing. Everyone is having a good time.

Pizzas are very good. There is a "secret garden" which is a terrace on the roof of the building. It's a lovely place. They serve a lot of different beers brewed by themselves. I had the blonde one and it was not bad at all (which is a great compliment from a beer lover living in Belgium)
