This is the first place I have eaten on holiday to the UK from America and the food was absolutely wonderful. I had the sweet potato chili with coconut and it was to die for. I wish I could eat it every single day. Loved the decor as well, purple is my favorite color. The staff were also very friendly. Overall just a wonderful place and I hope to come back!!

What a beautiful experience. Food was amazingly priced (we came for lunch), and so delicious. It was out first time trying haggis and was pleasantly surprised. Treated ourselves to dessert too, which were all super yummy! We came on a weekday for lunch and it was well packed, rang ahead for a table and thankfully one was available. The service was fantastic, with the waitresses attentive and accommodating. Would highly recommend!

Had a great lunch at Urquharts restaurant in #Inverness #scotland Local Scottish food and everything was great in this place.☺️ Food we tried were… Appetizers: ✅Homemade soup with Crusty Bread ✅Scottish Smoked Salmon with Prawn Marie Rose ✅Chicken Liver Pate with Tomato & Chili Jam & Toasted Brioche ✅Stornoway Blackpudding, Crispy Bacon & Poached Egg salad with a Mustard Grain Dressing Mains: ✅Homemade Steak Pie ✅Fillet of Chicken on White Pudding with Bacon & Maderia Cream ✅Urquhart’s own Chicken curry with rice & Nann bread A must try dessert is the Scottish Cranachan- amazing! But warning, it has Whiskey 🤣 Everything we tried were absolutely delicious. This restaurant is a must visit when you come to #inverness Make sure you book a seat ahead of time, they are busy 😃 💵 Prices: in picture

Food was great, not too dry and had good flavour. Only very minor point was the salad was a little gritty. Overall a great experience with good portion sizes. Had no issues getting through on the phone.

US tourist here...This place was incredible. I would recommend making a reservation as we snuck in the last available table for the night. The food was spectacular and the pavlova dessert was to die for. I consider myself quite the sweet tooth. And the pavlova was by far the greatest dessert I ever encountered.

Delicious crab cakes, yummy soup and great pasta. The place is in the city centre and advance booking is highly recommended as you may not get a seat if you walk in directly. The telephone lines were not answered when we called and had to try again on the next day. This is bit of disappointment as service is key to success.

Small restaurant with a feel of someone's house. Very intimate atmosphere. The food is traditional cuisine with a clear focus on local produce. The food is cooked to perfection like your mother would cook for you if your mother was an excellent chef! Enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere.

If your looking for great food in Inverness look no further than Urquhart's, we were up in the highlands for my girlfriends birthday and wanted to celebrate somewhere in style. I highly recommend booking in advance as they fill up really fast and you don't want to turn up and be disappointed. Urquhart's doesn't look like much from the outside but as soon as you enter it is clean, tidy and homely, the restaurant is small but the food they serve is fantastic! We started off with the haggis bonbons and then the chicken goujons/steak pie, both served in a really large portion. It wouldn't of been a birthday meal without desert so opted for the creme brûlée. It seems the starters/deserts are quite pricey but the main courses are averagely priced which is strange but doesn't change how good the food was, definitely one of the best restaurants I have been to. The staff are really friendly and down to earth. Can't wait to try Urquhart's again when I'm back in Inverness.
