I just recently moved to Inverness and finding a great coffee house was a priority to me. Not only does it have awesome, excellent, off the charts coffee, it does really beautiful, vegetarian soul food and really exquisite baking. The design of the place has been well thought out. It's bright, comfortable and cosy with a variety of different furniture which creates a homely atmosphere and makes it a comfortable place to chat to other like minded people - whether you go by yourself or with friends. The staff are really friendly and positive - and why wouldn't they be, working in a place like this?
The basis of this social enterprise is the bicycle workshop. I came in yesterday morning to have my bike serviced. I stay pretty much for most of the day "doing" coffee, lunch, more coffee, more coffee and some cake with various different friends who arrived throughout the day whilst I was waiting for my bike. Not really surprising, that Duncan and Andrew did a totally amazing job and my 15 year old mountain bike is running better than ever.
This place is wonderful. Thanks guys, you have one very loyal customer here.
All the very best ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Friendly staff, great atmosphere and super cute crockery diversity for food and drink. The perfect place to chill with a book or come with friends and hang out in a lovely wholesome place
The best place to eat in Inverness- cakes are awesome! Best thing about the place is the staff - amazing! X
Visited here today and it was beautiful had a fantastic salad ( to die for) lovely friendly staff. Well worth a visit / well done guys it was a pleasure.
This is the best cafe in Inverness, conscious of sourcing its produce to make delicious foods. The staff are super friendly, but you have space to sit and breathe. It's character is unique and the coffee is great. My go to, every time I'm here!
Checked this place out after seeing its good reviews on TripAdvisor. The soup is soooooooooooo good! Highly recommend.
Fantastic atmosphere and super friendly staff. Attended a drawing workshop here last night and really enjoyed the relaxed and cosy surroundings. The cake and green tea were spot on!! Can't wait to come back.
I love Velocity, a great place to go alone, with friends or a group. I can happily sit & talk to strangers & usually leave having met a new friend. Hummus Salad with a nice pot of Tea, my absolute favourite & if I really must, have a wee cheeky piece of their delicious home baking
A lovely place, very warm and welcoming. Oh and the food is lovely too
After googling and enquiring at the older more established bicycle repair shop's I some how stumbled across velocity. I needed my bike serviced with in a 48 hour period. Velocity stepped up to the plate when the other more established company's could not go out of there way to help a needy customer. 1st class service
Popped in on my own and was made very welcome. Very chilled out place with happy crew, serving fabulous home made food. Beetroot soup was just delicious. Thank you I'll definitely be back.
Attended a free bike maintenance workshop yesterday looking at breaks, the mechanic was really helpful and informed, I left feeling a lot more confident about fixing my bike myself. Thank you!
A wonderful oasis in central Inverness. The staff were so helpful and informative- fixing my bike in the lunch break as I had a train to catch. Thank you so much for your kindness and inspiration as well as the mini tutorial on bike maintenance. The world needs more places like this. Much love x PS the food is very tasty too
Lovely friendly cafe. Visited three times during a four day break to Inverness! Great cake, sandwiches and granola.
Great coffee and delicious wholesome cakes. Lovely friendly, relaxing atmosphere and such a chic place. Love it here 💕
Great coffee, great setting, great place! Visited a handful of times and love the relaxed feel and friendly vibe here.
I visited this cafe on my daughters recommendation,,,,,,,,and had a great experience! Service was fantastic, I simply had a coffee but my daughter says their food is outstanding. They are also super dog friendly, so my collie got tons of attention which he loves! The decor and artwork on the walls is fab and in soothing shades of blue,,,,,I like that the cafe is a social enterprise and hosts community events,,,,a great find,,,,I highly recommend a visit...
Visited this cafe for a query with a bike before a trip. The food was excellent, and the service is friendly. The cafe itself has a nice vibe and is very clean.
I’ve been here twice for lunch and both times it was lovely. It’s a busy place with a good vibe. The food is very fresh and although the service is a bit slow I believe it must be because they take the time to make your food so it arrives super hot and fresh. I had the soup which was piping hot and delicious. And the guacamole toast which was so fresh and flavourful. Absolutely worth waiting for. Sorry no photo for the toast.
Beautiful and convenient café for cyclists with a workshop. Their menu is vegetarian and has a nice range of options, in fact I wanted several. Portions are large and they are pet friendly too. The service was very friendly, efficient and accommodating too!
The menu is vegetarian with vegan options. The staff is doing a great job. The food is amazing. The toilet was clean!!! A great community space that deserves all the support!!!!
We visited during rush hour, but they have a system and we didn't wait too long to be sited.
I have found this place by a random chance.
The first impression was great to begin with. The staff was friendly and keen to help. Hospitality as it should be!
They have also agreed to hold my bike for some time as my train back is later this evening.
The interior is cozy, creative and flows so smoothly. Everything seems in the right place and not overdone.
I always mention the music too in my opinion, that's a huge part of the experience. It creates the mood and gives a place that personality. It was not too loud, music was of various genres, but selected creatively without chasing the latest trends.
Most importantly - the food! Oh boyyyy, The richness of flavours, combination of ingredients and the overal presentation. Definitely one of the best breakfasts I had in a while.
Coffee was strong and decent, something I would order regularly if I was lucky enough to live in Inverness.
In summary - great place to visit regardless if you are cycling today or arriving by foot.
Solid 10 out of 10.
We have visited a few times but the new menu has surprised us, really delicious options were added. I’ve ordered breakfast tacos with tofu, the marinated mushrooms and smoky beans were to die for, everything was thoroughly seasoned and fresh. Can’t wait to be back. Staff is lovely too, thank you.
Wonderful little cafe with a really exciting menu and a delicious selection of cakes! I had the pulled mushroom benedict, which was covered in a gorgeous selection of wild mushrooms and some unreal saffron hollandaise. Please open a shop in London!
Such a great find! Delightful vegan breakfast (I got the Patatas Bravas, pictured), and lots of vegan baked goods in the case. Cool, easygoing vibe. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back.
We’ve been here two days in a row, once for lunch and once for breakfast. I am so happy such a place exists in Inverness! The entire idea behind the store and the restaurant, their openness and their vegetarian and vegan food is amazing! We had lunch combos (sandwich and soup) and porridge for breakfast - the best I tried out of my kitchen :-) (they were so nice they also put an extra banana in it). Their coffee (we tried the flat white) is very tasty and well done, too. Will come again for sure!
