Came here yesterday night after being recommended by a chef who works at another establishment.
On arrival our coats were taken and we received friendly banter from the gentlemen at front of house.
Once seated my husband and I took in the relaxing and romantic surroundings, and looked through the delishes menu. It was such a struggle to pick as there was so much to choose from.
After a short while we received our food and we were not disappointed. Having ate in a number of fine dining restaurants around the world, Rocpool certainly became one of our top 5!
The pigeon breast starter was cooked and seasoned to perfection and presentation was on point.
The main courses were just as scrumptious, my beef cheek melting with every forkfull taking.
I took a risk ordering a pudding I'd never tried before and was delighted with what I received. Il most definitely be looking out for "Queen of puddings" again.
The whole meal took only 1hr 15 for a 3 course meal each plus canapés before starters. Even though the place was busy, the standard did not falter.
I will be recommending this place to everyone and I cannot wait for an excuse to return.
Went for an evening meal to celebrate my boyfriends Birthday.. Which ended up being a celebration of our engagement!! Mushroom soup, beef, strawberry & raspberry dessert. 'Fiancé ' had scallops, venison and pecan pie. Absolutely outstanding food.. Amazing flavours. Such friendly and attentive staff in a beautiful setting. Complimentary champagne from management for our engagement .. Tissues to help me dry my tears (of joy). A very special and memorable meal. Thank you.
Been to rocpool on two occasions. I must say thats it has to be one of the best restaurants in inverness. It is pricey, but well worth for what u pay for.
