A fantastic place to eat. The food was delicious. We had oysters, mussels, the curry and a fish finger sandwich. The oysters and mussels were very fresh. The curry was superb and the fish finger sandwich was outstanding. The staff were very friendly and happy. They made me and my family feel very welcome. We will definitely return.

If you visit Instow you MUST visit the Glorious Oyster, visited a few times now and loved it every time. Oysters are huge and fresh as can be. Crab sandwich is divine. Dog friendly and he even had a doggy ice-cream.

A small fish shack oasis tucked round the corner of Instow that honestly serves the best meals in the area. On top of that the service was extremely fast and they cater for gluten free. A must visit if you're near Instow.

Had lunch here with the family, lovely Crab Sandwich (£12), relaxed and friendly vibe. The location is best on a sunny day when you can forget you are not basically sat next to a dirt track and car park. Don’t let that put you off though, worth a visit.

Absolutely delightful spot that we stopped off at after a long cycle ride. Terrific coffee and alcohol selection, but the star of the show was the food. My wife's houmous salad was great, coming with flatbread and pickled salad. I had an absolutely wonderful fresh oyster and a top Sri Lankans fish curry, which was deceptively filling and incredibly flavoursome. The best meal we've had this week in all of Devon, and a lovely atmosphere to the place too; you feel like you've discovered a local gem with the nicest staff around.

Came here for lunch and ordered a crab sandwich and some oysters. Easily one of the best-tasting oysters I've ever had. Everything tasted fresh! Wish they had a view of the beach- eating with that view would be spectacular. Also, I can't remember seeing prices on the menu boards- I think those would be helpful for anyone being mindful of their expenses.

Great place for a snack, it does get busy especially when it’s a nice day as it’s outside eating near the beach. The car park is free next to the cafe but there is only about 4 spaces. The public car park is a bit expensive and the pot holes are terrible (you need to be driving a tank to get through them!!!😡). You need to try this place if you are in the area but be prepared the cost of drinks and food it quite expensive for a beach shack cafe, but the food is good although I think the menu is a bit limited and some of the food severed is seasonal. They do source local and good quality produce especially when you see the chef coming out to cut herbs from the pots around the shack. Overall a nice place to eat and have a drink or even just an ice cream.

Tunes on the Dunes, organised by Glourious Oyster. Two gorgeous evenings out linking up, dancing or chilling was fab.. Come and meet some lovely folk who just want to share the vibe. Better than a Hockings ice-cream. 😎

Lovely place for a bite to eat near the beach, perfect for sea good lovers. Relaxed atmosphere. Resonable prices for quality food and friendly customer service. Outdoor seating covered by small marquee. Nice selection of light bites, drinks and cocktails (wish i had had a bloody mary with my oysters!). Oysters are 1 for 3.75 or 6 for £18, they were served with shalott vinegar, chilli gin vinegar, lemon and tabasco, we tried one with each. Limited parking nearby and pay and display parking also available. Would 100% go again

This is the BEST place. I can’t believe I haven’t been before. Lived in the area as a child and back all the time but had never got this far down Instow. Lovely setting, lovely service. Glass of wine and a huge crab sandwich, total £17.50 - perfect lunch! Outdoor seating, with a canopy to avoid any drizzle. Dog and bicycle friendly.

This was sourced by my younger sister, who found an absolute gem. For mid October, the weather was AMAZING and only added to our experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The menu changes constantly and everything was very fresh. We had enjoyed crab rolls and lobster bisque. We ordered a side of cockles and whelks. Cockles were lovely and the whelks were HUGE, a little chewy. Lobster bisque didn’t topple the Santa Barbra lobster bisque, but was very delicious. The crab meat was enjoyable with more brown than white meat. Overall, the experience baroque and quirky. Top Tip: don’t sit near the road. The dust from the cars makes things crunchy.

Loved it. We only had time for coffee and cake as the weather was changing. Victoria sponge to die for...was delicious. The menu looked great and other food smelled divine. Lovely setting and friendly staff. Best cafe in town

A very cute little cafe. Selling locally produced and perfectly cooked food, and with a very chilled vibe. Plenty of outdoor seating and a very respectable coffee made with locally roasted ethical Sabins beans.
