We had such a wonderful Saturday lunch here. The weather was looking like rain and we'd booked on the deck without cover. The food was amazing. We sat out on the balcony overlooking the water. As the sun set, we enjoyed the beautiful meal. The air was warm, and the atmosphere was perfect. If you want a great place to enjoy the evening, this is your spot.
We had three visits during our stay in Instow, two for dining. Fantastic atmosphere (sitting looking out to the sea in the open space upstairs if weather permits is just wonderful) and excellent food. Staff lovely too. Highly recommended.

We visited the boathouse twice during our visit to devon. The first was a sunday roast on our arrival day as it was reccomended by a family member - what a delight. The peach glazed gammon was amazing! We immediately booked to come again a few days later and had pollock and mussels off the specials
