Absolutely Amazing Toastie, my wife & I bought some fish from Devon & Cornwall fish Co and my wife made a remark about needing some nice bread to go with the Crab meat she bought from them. The guy recommended going to John’s of Instow and now I am recommending them! I bought a Sourdough bloomer and
A fabulous evening all round. A great bunch of people, Lauren was a wonderful host and Clare a superb, patient artist. We were both so happy with our first ever watercolour paintings. Thank you
A dog friendly cafe where we decided to have breakfast as it started pouring with rain. We came in the dog entry door and we’re sat down with menus, we ordered breakfasts and we’re not disappointed, two of us had the veggie stack. On the menu it said it came with spinach although there wasn’t any, h
Delightful food in the cafe, very reasonably priced considering the exceptional quality.
Staff took an absolute age to come to the table to take our order. I had to go to them in the end, at one point 4 staff standing around watching one person make one drink.. what was meant to be a quick stop for a coffee turned into a longer drink than planned. Not great if I am honest.
Amazing luxury deli and great attached dog friendly cafe. Always come here for coffee when we're in the area. Usually a few vegan cake things to choose from too.
Great time at the Sip’n’paint evening, very relaxed and rewarding. I think I’ve found a new hobby. Thank you to Charlotte and the lady from Johns and all the artists for making it special. See you all next time

It’s a second generation family business - the owners Sue and Anthony are really passionate, hard working and highly knowledgeab

The coffee arrived a good 10 mins before the scones so either there's no coffee left or it's cold. Apparently this is "normal" as the scones come from th
Although a bit pricey, being in a Devon tourist hot spot, excellent quality and friendly service.
John’s on the Pier is a welcome addition to Instow. Friendly, helpful staff on hand to welcome you & the breakfast sandwich was heaven! A little sun trap with great views. The perfect spot to watch the world go by. Whether you eat in or takeaway, the food from the deli is amazing. Fab selection of l
Lovely visit today on a nice sunny day at the end of September. Nice buzz about the place, happy chatty staff. Many thanks to Katie who was just wonderful, an asset to your team. Regards to all.

The food was incredible and very quick to come out. We loved that we can buy the produce used to make the meal right there in the shop. We can’t w
