Beautiful traditional pub frequented by locals. They have plenty of industrial beer taps and also some from artisanal breweries. Classic but good pub style food: I really enjoyed the chicken pie & mash.

The owners are so sweet and such a lovely and welcoming atmosphere! We came here on my birthday in search of baby Guinness shots and then one of the workers GAVE US A GUINNESS TSHIRT! It’s a gesture of kindness I will remember forever and made the day even more special. Such a lovely pub!

Popped in here after rock climbing on a Wednesday evening and was thrilled by the prices and the food quality. 3 pints for £15ish is great for the area. Padron peppers and chicken burger were absolutely delicious

What a bloody good boozer. A proper pub imo. Lighting, beer quality and able to have a laugh with the bar staff and manager. Games room and food looked great although we only had time for one.

One of the better roast I’ve had in London. Both the chicken and the nut roast were delicious. Good selection beers. Pool table downstairs.

Food was great and of good quality! Prices are totally ok. More of a pub than a restaurant, so there was self service. But the staff was friendly.

Another pub that I would definitely visit again. On our visit they seemed to have more staff than customers in for some reason 😂

We went to the Virgin Queen a few months ago for a roast and the chef surprised our dog with her very own roast too. Needless to say she thoroughly enjoyed the meat (although wasn’t as keen on the veg 😂). Was super thoughtful of the chef. Would highly recommend this dog-friendly cozy pub.

Fish & Chips Perfection. Tartar Sauce was really, really good. My only complaint was the Mushy Peas portion was too small.

When I arrived I was a bit disappointed to learn that the vegan fish and chips was off the menu, so I decided to have the pie and mash....... Wow!! Possibly the best pie and mash I've eaten in a pub EVER! THE Mash, veg and even the gravy 10 out of ten and the chicken pie was the best ever. The chef really knows his food. Thank you , and great service too.

This is my new favourite boozer. The staff were so great, the decor is lovely, fish & chips are the best I've had in a pub for a long while, the quiz was fun and I have to say it again, the staff are genuinely warm and kind people.

A lovely pub with lovely staff, and a great atmosphere. Becky is the heart and soul of pub! Worth the visit just to meet her.

One of the best in East London. Fish and chips is great and they serve half Roasts which is brilliant!

This was the first dinner out we had post-lockdown and it was superb! Had some fish and chips, with very good cod in a crunchy batter, the mushy peas with mint were 10/10 and I really appreciated the generous serving of tartar sauce (most restaurants skimp on it and I find it so annoying!)! It was a rainy day but inside we were so cosy and warm, while all safety guidelines were observed! Definitely will be back soon

I like the Virgin Queen. I'd like it more if it had more than one real ale on tap. Though they do serve real cider, which is a very good thing.
