Was out in Glasgow city centre and popped into Qua with family. What a fantastic place, service was excellent as was the food and ambiance. Staff were attentive and friendly, definitely going to be our Italian of choice when out with family! Highly recommended.
My girlfriend and I enjoyed a really wonderful evening here. Friendly welcome from Toni and all his staff and then a very good value meal for both of us. My girlfriend loved her Calamari and then Penne I spicy tomato sauce. I went for a classic Bruschetta and then a Pizza. All food was just like back home in Italia. Thank you to all!
I am just finishing off my Cod main course which was really beautiful. The service has been friendly and the place has a lovely atmosphere. It's so busy but all the staff have found the time to serve me well. 5 stars!
Food was absolutely amazing, weren't left feeling hungry and weren't left feeling heavy and bloated. The portions were perfect and my girlfriend who is the fussiest eater ever ate all three courses.
As for the atmosphere, that was also brilliant. It was clear that you weren't just another customer and although the restaurant was busy we were made to feel valued and welcome, our comfort and enjoyment and quality of service was clearly the top priority of the floor staff, the manager also took his time to explain the menu and what things were he also helped us choose what we wanted asking our likes and dislikes helping and recommending what dishes we may like. I have already reserved a table for my next visit and will see myself travelling to Glasgow quite regularly to visit this excellent restaurant.
This was my second visit to qua and had the mozzarella fritters for starters then the fillet steak with the pizzaiola sauce normaly i have my steak plain but i am glad i tried the sauce it was amazing the meat melted in my mouth mmmmmmm i want more now!! The staff are great i got a warm welcome fast and cheerfull service even the price put a smile on my face. All in all i will be back.
Qua is Delizioso. My family of 6 found the restaurant close by to our hotel through UrbanSpoon. An unexpected delight. The host and all the waiters were super-friendly and patient. The food was superb. We ordered dinner off the 3-course pris fix menu for £10.95 and every dish tasted top-of-the-line. The desserts were particularly amazing. A noteworthy value in the generally expensive UK restaurant scene; one of Glasgow's culinary gems for traveler and local alike.
Qua(lity) & Value. This Italian restaurant is at the east end of the city centre and as they do a lunchtime 2 course deal, I decided to give it a try. First impressions were good. In the door and a warm welcome right away. I was offered a window table and made myself comfortable. I started with the bruschetta (sharp and fresh) and followed with the spag bol (spot on). The diners next to me had pizza which looked superb. So, great food, nice ambience and friendly service and all at a bargain price. As Arnie says "I'll be back".
Good Value Lunch. Four of us visited this restaurant for lunch. We were lucky enough to get a lovely table at the front window. The food was very good and portions excellent for luchtime and all for less than six pounds. The staff were friendly but not pushy. I'm sure we'll be visiting again.
Lovely food and nice atmosphere. Polished off all of our dishes. Service was really good too. Recommend this place.
Nice and relaxed. Liked this place, offers up some pretty good traditional Italian dishes. Everything seemed well up to standard and especially enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. Staff at hand at if need be, but never overly pestering at all. Plus price for 2 under £40, so can't complain about that. A definite cheaper alternative to some others around, but not lacking in quality so worth a shot.
Work of art. My wife introduced me to this restaurant. we went and sat in the window. service was great. we have been many times and we have been well looked after every time. you will order your meal and be enticed by every dish passing you that you take note of to order next time. love it. we will be back.
Fresh pizza delight. Any time my family go out for a meal, the one place we can all agree to go to is 'Qua'. My teenage boys love the fresh pizza there! The pizza base is home made, and authentically Italian - nice and thin with plenty of fresh topping. They have a great selection of fish and meat dishes - something for everyone - and nice wines too. The restaurant owner has been in the business for years and it shows. He knows what he's talking about when it comes to food. The fast food chains that serve you very little topping on a thick, ready-made, frozen pizza base are not for me and my family. Qua gets our vote every time!
Food and Service were good, reasonably priced. Not amazing, but fairly solid 7/10 material.
There is something about this restaurant that feels very authentic Italian from looking outside to the minute you step in. It's refreshing. The decor is traditional and modern at the same time and the atmosphere is great. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food which was delicious and fairly priced. Our servers were all very friendly and fast, my only criticism was that sometimes it was difficult to get their attention as it was busy when we went. Otherwise though I would recommend this place
Amazing restaurant!! Gorgeous cosy vibes & the staff were so friendly, in particular our Italian waiter a young gentleman who was so so attentive and kind. Food was delicious and they had a live singer who was just fabulous! To top it off the food was absolutely delicious, highly recommend!
Lovely Saturday afternoon lunch with friends
We had the lunch menu which is great value for 3 courses although we had cocktails for dessert !
I'd recommend the burrata, the tomatoes were as good quality as the cheese
Portions are good
Service is friendly
It was very busy when we were in
A nice atmosphere
Absolutely amazing food so good nice to see old faces too Paco and Olly 2 great waiters will definitely return food so flavoursome recommended to all
We had an outstanding meal at this restaurant, which has now become one of my favourite Italian eateries in Glasgow. Stunning inside, beautifully presented dishes and excellent flavours. The seafood pasta was fantastic, and also the Paccheri with nduja and burrata. Good value for their set menu options. Service was friendly, always nice to be served by smiley Italian people at an Italian restaurant!
Been coming there regularly and took some friends visiting over from Belfast recently. Can’t fault food or staff! Food is tasty and authentic. Good deals on set menu. Staff goes extra mile and make sure birthday or any celebrations is made special. If you are looking for a good Italian restaurant this one is for you!
It was a very lovely experience. Great service, absolutely wonderful food and just beautiful beautiful place.
Overall enjoyed it and would definitely visit again.
Really enjoyed the food, I had the seafood spaghetti which was really good and a decent portion. The cannoli was also delicious and nicely presented. The service was really good too.
Yesterday, me and my friend have visited the restaurant for her 21st birthday lunch. I have called in to book a table. The place was absolutely stunning and we really enjoyed the food and drinks. The staff were all so friendly, welcoming and kind. We will definitely visit the place more often. Thanks again to staff for the great service.
Beautiful place, great food, very helpful waiters.
Food came very quick and was an absolutely amazing.
Visited yesterday 16/7 .Lovely restaurant Great food and friendly staff 😊🇮🇹 highly recommend x
Dined al fresco for lunch. Gnocchi was very good along with the service - very nice, quick, and attentive. Great decor as well. Recommend!
Delicious food and great service too. The staff was kind enough to show us how the large pepper was used, which our whole table really enjoyed. It was a great stop for lunch - the pizzas and risottos were all top notch!
Had a lovely meal with a family member, great wine and friendly and attentive service. Went rogue from my first choice of dish and so glad I did!
They offer a delicious selection of Italian cuisine. We went for the À La Carte menu, but the set menu is very good value for the quality and quantity of food.
It's a lovely, Instagram friendly space; bright, light and colourful inside. The decoration makes for an ideal brunch or lunch setting. The staff were friendly but busy.
We started with olives, bread, and olive oil. I was very happy with my ravioli which we had with a side of Rocket and Parmesan Salad with Balsamic Dressing. The octopus was wonderful and fresh, an unusual ingredient choice for pizza but it worked well.
Highly recommend, would eat here again!
Had such a lovely meal in here for Father’s Day! Service was excellent everything arrived so quickly and food was really fresh and tasty
The positives: the service was good, fast and the staff polite and friendly. The food was standard Italian fare and well cooked and presented, though your portion size will vary massively depending what you order.
The negative: the noise. Oh boy the NOISE. There was a live Rat Pack singer performing and it was so insanely loud it made conversation near impossible without yelling at each other across the table. We nearly walked back out as soon as we walked in because it was so loud. After eating (thank goodness the service was fast) we couldn’t wait to get out of there.
Recommended - but only on nights they don’t have nightclub levels of music on.
Best pizza and lasagna! Also enjoyed our appetizers. Their lemon cheesecake went well with our lunch - was so good! The staff were all friendly and accommodating! Will definitely go back. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
