Booked for Saturday lunch after Dartmoor walk. Wasn't busy. Sat outside, very dog friendly. Water bowl and lead hooks on all picnic benches. Service by Evonne was excellent. Good selection of drinks and all home cooked food is on the daily boards (see photos) Sharing fish platter was superb. Will de
Amazing meal had by all - especially loved the Steak & Ale pies. Very friendly hospitable staff and lovely atmosphere so will definitely be returning again soon.
I absolutely love this pub. It ticks my personal pub-preference boxes! It's small and cosy with a lovely atmosphere. My brother argues it's a winter pub (and I can say I have had a lovely roast and pint there when escaping the cold), but I'd say it is an all-year rounder. Petite perfection if they w
Lovely pub, lovely feel to the place. We didn't book, but we're lucky enough to get a table for the two of us, although I would recommend booking, just in case. All the staff were lovely and friendly, the food was perfectly cooked, and delicious. Definitely will go here again on our next visit to Da

Wandered in a little late for the lunch rush, but the management happily provided us with last minute grub, nice portions and cooked skillfully. Good range of veggie and carnivore options. Some tasty beers on tap. I'd go again for sure! Thanks!
Lovely pub, great team running it, wonderful menu with really great food. What a find! It was difficult to leave! We will make sure to pop-in again on our next visit to the area.
Great little community pub. Staff are lovely and the foods pretty good 👍
Always great to pop in . Had take away fish & chips . One gluten free & one regular for my partner . It was wrapped up like a chipshop style , Beautifully tasty fish in a nice batter , which is crisp on the outside, not greasy in any way. Still hot enough to eat after 10+ min drive to Heathfield.
Visited to celebrate A Level results with a couple of beers and a meal.Large portions of pub grub...we didn't need the starters that we ordered! Would recommend a visit
