Gem of a restaurant. 3 juicy scallops to start. Nicely caramelised Sirloin Steak and the Tunisian orange and almond cake was light and moist. All supported by watermelon gin, a smooth pino noir and firey grappa. Nice to see the host/ chef coming out to socialise with guests. Excellent service.

What a wonderful way to start the New Years culinary chapter. Food freshly and locally sourced, menus decided on the day, cooked not just with inventive seasonings but real passion and the chefs‘ favourite wines. An open log fire, great company - what more could one ask? Try it, spread the word, and help make this new and exciting venture THE place to eat in the South West.

This was our first night out since moving to the area and I think we could have found our favourite restaurant! Beautiful setting, amazing food and good service, it’s so nice when the chef comes outs and has a chat. We can’t believe they change the menu every day and credit to them for doing so. Only advice would be try and save room for the cheese board.

Life affirming food. Bumped in to the chef outside who upsold us on the possibilities of a joyful and wonderous life, after a few too many cocktails at Temperley, and we were not disappointed. The food is great and surprising, the starters and mains were amazing and dessert wise what was that cheese!? Serious tell me, what was that wild cheese, you know the one. Go here, eat well, have the cheese board, comment here with what that cheese was.

What a find this place was. We stopped for lunch on our way back from a holiday and I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in recent memory. Aside from the excellent food (scallops, mozzarella & bresaola, sirloin steak, orange/almond cake), the dining room itself is delightfully done out and the staff very hospitable and friendly. Alex came out from the kitchen to talk us through one of his dishes and pass on useful tips for peeling garlic (one I wish I’d heard twenty years ago!). Very highly recommended.

What an absolute gem of a find. I was seeking somewhere special to celebrate with a friend and couldn't have been happier with this place. I'm vegetarian and the dish was well portioned, filling and an explosion of flavours. Very reasonably priced and being able to have a easy conversation with the chefs/owner really seals tis personalised experience. Love the story, Love the food, can't wait to come back and see what they rustle up next.

Outstanding dining experience - incredible food, wine & wonderful atmosphere. Excellent hospitality, the chef took time out to ensure we were happy and welcomed foodie discussion about ingredients! Perfect venue, would absolutely recommend.
