What an experience, anniversary dinner was the veggie tasting menu, one of the best meals we've ever had. Wine matched to each of 5 delicate and delicious courses. Daydreaming about our next visit.

We had an excellent lunch here. The place is a pub but really more a fine dining restaurant. The food and service were excellent. Location is a lovey village all decorated for a festival at the weekend. Recommended

Outstanding food. Everything was of a superb standard. I had the duck liver, parfait, the lamb, and the crème brûlée. All of this was excellent. Would definitely go again.

Had an enjoyable lunch and will return for dinner soon. Although a pub the food is not your usual pub grub but more cuisine 5 star food and although a little more expensive than pub grub "well worth the extra" and is a hit for us and one to re- book in the very near future. Nice village location, cosy inside and nice gardens with scrummy food.

Nice venue. I was looking into booking a room with breakfast, for one night but they don't allow it? It has to be two nights, and with evening meal. I would have thought they would let guests book one night? It was pricey also.

We came here this evening for my mother in laws birthday celebration. So glad we did. What a place! The interior is a high end country pub, atmosphere and service was relaxed but attentive without being suffocating. Food was fabulous - (dont refuse the sourdough bread offered at the beginning...it's soooo good!) Starters- duck parfait , olives, mozzarella something. Mains - chicken, celeriac mille feuille , confit duck slices. Desserts- chocolate something. Lovely taste of this (didn't have a dessert myself) Victoria is the landlady, her husband is the excellent chef cooking for us tonight. The surroundings are beautiful and they have a garden that appears to represent a lovely setting for relaxed and comfortable dining and outdoor celebration/get together. Thank you to the whole team for your hospitality, service, food, and the excellent surroundings! Xx

Outstanding food! This is not the place for a cheap and cheerful pub lunch. It is much more than that. We celebrated my wife’s birthday there at the end of January. The meal was certainly something special. Whoever is in their kitchen knows their stuff! I must admit I had my doubts about a couple of the dishes we ordered but was very pleasantly surprised. The halibut sashimi was amazing! The pork belly melted in my mouth and was not fatty at all. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians too. The service was very good and we were neither ignored nor overly attended to. They even bothered to subtly decorate our table in honour of my wife’s birthday. I cannot wait to go back.

Amazing food in a lovely location with very friendly staff. On the pricier side for lunch but well worth the money and it's dog friendly :)
