I stayed here for one night. Ate dinner and breakfast. The room was large, clean and well decorated. The bathroom modern, well equipped with bath and shower and very clean. I really enjoyed dinner. Everything on the plate was local and seasonal. The flavour and presentation of the food was excellent. I had never had gnocchi made with squash before but, as with all the food it was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with fresh produce and great choice of cold and cooked food. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The village location is very attractive. I have already made a mental note to visit again when in the area.

This pub's location is next to a small village green with a perfect mature oak tree... perhaps the typical setting for an English pub. Walking into the pub's garden and you can enjoy similar natural relaxing features, with trees, flowers and shrubs surrounding you. Plenty of benches make this an ideal place for a sunny evening drink and a satisfying meal. Inside the Howard Arms you will find a pleasing environment with seating spaces set out well at multiple levels. Smells of food cooking add to the nice atmosphere. Buy from a good range of drinks. We didn't get a chance for a meal as the restaurant was full, but we did manage to order some chips These were very nice, served with part skin on. Recommend booking if you want to enjoy a meal here.

The best Sunday roast I’ve ever had!!!!!! Seriously yummy and cooked to perfection. We sat near the huge open fire. The staff were very friendly and service was prompt. I’d highly recommend

The food was of very good quality but, given the price, one would hope for a slightly more fine dining experience. A gravy boat with one’s roast would have been much appreciated. It is so much nicer, I feel, to be able to choose, oneself, which elements of one’s meal to cover in gravy. The table, unfortunately, was uncomfortably cramped but the restaurant was obviously busy and there ended up being more people in our party than anticipated so it was very good of the establishment to be able to accommodate us all when we had booked for fewer.

A beautiful pub with good beer. My son and I stopped here on our way home from the Cotswolds; we arrived around 2 PM on a Monday. Despite being just 2 minutes away from the kitchen closing, the staff was extremely kind and brought us the menu. The lady behind the bar made us feel welcome. The place was extremely clean and the the atmosphere lovely. I’m definitely stopping here again.

This wonderful little gem on the edge of the cotswolds was a pleasure to stay at. We were greeted with a very friendly member of staff and shown to our room. The room was wonderful overlooking the village green. We had dinner in the restaurant and couldn't fault it. The breakfast had everything you could wish for. Highly recommended. We would definitely stay again.

Best pub in the world!! and I’ve been in a few… the bangers and mash was Devine. I live in North Carolina but every time I am in the UK I make a stop at this pub. The new years set lunch was the best I have had.
