We had a lovely afternoon tea here for my birthday yesterday. The food was excellent with a lovely selection of home made cakes and pastries. The restaurant is set in a beautiful location and we had such a relaxed afternoon. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It is the best afternoon tea I have had so far and we will definitely be going back again.

Amazing food & great service. Highly recommend the Sunday lunch carvery (& a midweek lunch, sandwich & soup ... and an evening meal at any time!)

I rang, yesterday, on a bit of a whim. Being cynical, I didn't expect to be able to book a table at such short notice, but I did, and had a lovely meal. I can't fault the staff, or praise them enough.

We held a meeting there. Excellent service and the staff very accommodating. The facilities up there are excellent to host a small meeting. The food was excellent and customer service was excellent. I will certainly be hosting another event up there is the summer as they have excellent view of the Wharfe valley and dogs are allowed on the patio area.

We arrive at the luxury retirement village and was little confused as it's not clear where you park or that you are even at the right place. You have to go through the pool area and through the halls to get to it and there's not the best signage. We established how to get there after asking but once we did we were glad we found the place. We were sat at a comfortable table and had a really friendly server, we went for the afternoon tea and it was delicious. The star of the show was the sausage roll with the caramelized onion topper and the wide selection of puddings. We left full and happy.

A small group of us(16) had afternoon tea in the restaurant recently. All cakes, sandwiches and homemade sausage rolls absolutely delicious and staff were very pleasant and attentive. They also accomodated gluten free and vegetarian requirements. Will definitely go again.

Wonderful experience, the food was excellent and the service attentive, without being intrusive. As this restaurant is in a retirement complex it won't necessarily suit everyone's taste, but it is more than worth the effort to sample the afternoon tea. The other meals served while we were there also looked lovely.

Generally good food during the week but the best time to go is the fantastic Sunday carvery. The best carvery within 15 miles in my opinion and I've tried lot. The chef is incredibly generous-you can really have as much as you can eat unlike some of the chain restaurants around. 2 or 3 cuts of meats and chicken are usually available, all slowly steam roasted with 5 or so veg options. You must book as it gets really popular.

The duck was beautifully cooked. The order of potatoes did not reach the kitchen. Pancakes good. Views from the restaurant not as good as expected.
