Since it's been revamped and under new management it's amazing. The landlady is the friendliest pub lady I've met and she makes you feel so welcomed. We went for a carvery which was yummy, again the tall lady at the counter, cannot fault her, lovely with a big friendly attitude and smile, loved it!

Good food but a bit pricey. I go on a Sunday for a carvery but there are more options. Can get rather busy at times so it is a good idea to book in advance. Small children's play area at the rear, large car park and outdoor seating. Welcoming staff and helpful
Atmosphere is relaxed here. But when the sport is on its better. Been here lots of times over the years . Great place to take the family

This was my first visit to The Mallard and I was not disappointed it was our anniversary 46 years and just wanted a carvery. I had the beef and it was delicious there were lots of vegetables to choose from carrots beans peas parsnips broccoli and cauliflower cheese (I apologise if I missed any out)
