We had a lovely evening last night celebrating our triple family birthday celebrations on the gypsy terrace. Thank you to the thatch for catering for us all, the terrace was beautiful and the food (especially the beef brisket) was fab! �

Friendly and inviting staff made us feel very welcome and were very attentive.
The food was lush; we had a special gammon, prawn linguine (extra chillis) and the famous thatch burger with the little one having fish & chips. Very generous portions and very tasty.
Deserts followed (obviously) and were equally as lovely; even did a little chocolate cake for little ones birthday with candles - perfect finish to a perfect day!

This place is now very local to us having recently moved to the town. We already feel like we've been here years with the warm welcome that we always get upon entering this establishment.The staff are extremely friendly. A fine array of drinks & the food is second to none ! Sunday lunches are magnificent as is the rest of the menu. Come in to this place and feel right at home....just like we do !

The BEST roast dinner in town. Had a delicious roast beef dinner with the family for Father’s Day - beef cooked to perfection along with all the accompaniments. Will be back for another soon�
Having travelled from London yesterday for a short stay at a Guest House across the road, my Wife and I thought we would try out The Thatched Inn. We are so glad we did.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, great Pub atmosphere and THE most amazing food that you will EVER find. So good we decided to book again and have just come back from there.
You MUST book as they are very busy.
The Thatch Burger, Haloumi Burger and Steak are amazing and I'm sure everything else on the menu is too (it's worth visiting for the Homemade chips alone).
Unfortunately we didn't get to try the deserts as we didn't have any room both nights due to the food being plentiful.
We are coming back this way next year so we will definitely be coming back to the Thatched Inn for our evening meal each night of our stay.

Had THE BEST Sunday roast here yesterday. Delicious! Would recommend to everyone and we will be sure to eat here again next time we visit Devon!

I rang late on a Saturday evening after being letdown badly by another restaurant. The lovely lass on the phone couldn't have been more careing and polite.
We got there a few minutes later, and where greeted by a lovely gentleman who was very understanding of my sons needs being autistic and away from home food can be a difficult thing to navigate.
The two female servers we just amazing all 10 of us.
The food was to beautiful and to be honest it didn't take a massive time for it to arrive, the kitchen is small and only one chef on that day I believe. We waited under half an hour from order to arrival, I have waited in spoons longer!!!
Every one made us feel welcome and relaxed just wishes we lived closer as would be back in a heart beat.
Absolutely incredible place. Great food, super accomodating to us booking a table for ten at short notice and went above and beyond to make sure that everyone was comfortable in our variously neurodivergent party and even to spend ages at the end helping us to divvy up the bill. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending them, will definitely return next time I am in the area!

We visited The Thatched Inn this week for the first time. We were greeted with a warm welcome, followed by communication about the pub being short staffed, if only other pubs would display such excellent communication! Our food was banging arrived promptly, was fresh, utterly delicious and great value for money! Thank you for such a lovely evening! Jacob was a super example to the rest of the team who were also on point!!! We’ll be back!!!
What a fantastic place! I chose this pub as we could walk to it from our hotel and it had a great choice of fresh fish and locally sourced food! The service was fantastic, all the staff were helpful both on the phone and when we arrived, nothing was too much trouble despite me phoning to say we were going to be a little later than planned for my booked table. The publican Paul and his wife Fiona were charming and welcoming! Would definitely recommend this pub for food, drinks, and friendly atmosphere!

A beautiful little pub with gorgeous gardens in which to have a drink or two. The building itself is beautiful and bust be steeped in history. There were several local draft beers, cidre and a couple of lagers on tap to choose from. There is food available but we didnt sample any on this occasion.

As a vacationer it is granted that I have limited resource for comparison but this is an absolutely fantastic spot for drinks or food. We had sunday lunch and the portions were massive! Food was excellent and I can genuinely say we had some of the best service we've ever had in Britain.
Stopped here for a drink, incredibly quaint. Service through a hatch to the beer garden on a hot day. Inside it’s magnificent wood panelling and am open fire. Would be a great local.
Great pub atmosphere, real ales kept well, good choice of wines. Service with a smile. To top it all the food was fabulous, especially the fresh fish dishes

It was lovely and very welcoming, we ordered lobster...we were told it just arrived an hour earlier, well they didn't lie!! It was fresh and absolutely gorgeous!If wanted to be super picky we could have done with the "correct" cutlery for the lobster but not a big deal ...we managed, fought and won against the hard shell.. and it was worth it LOL 😍 definitely recommend and definitely coming back 😊
Lovely building with outdoor seating (although only a few are covered from rain. Slow cooked meat is their speciality and they do it really well. Dogs not allowed inside but ok outside.
