Lovely big breakfast here today, definitely the place to visit in your 50's dress and listen to some retro music. Friendly staff, and humongous portions of food. If you guys don't already do them, you'd make a killing here with freak shakes!

New place where an American Diner used to be. We came in for coffee and cake, but they also have a lot of savoury snacks and sandwiches as well as breakfast on their menu (see pictures). Cakes and coffee were delicious, the atmosphere was really nice. Would definitely come back for more!

Had an absolutely lovely experience here! The baristas/employees were so kind and welcoming, and all of our food and drinks were fresh & delicious. Pictured is the Sourdough Toast with a Kick (added poached eggs), Nutella croissant, and dirty chai latte.

We came here for brunch after being told by another fancy coffee shop just down the road that we couldn't come in with our dog, in spite of her being in a buggy. I have no problem with places having a no-dogs policy, but do object to being spoken to rather nastily. The welcome at Johnny's couldn't have been more different. They were very happy for us to come in with the dog and greeted us all warmly. We ordered scrambled eggs on sourdough toast, and coffee. The eggs were rich and buttery and delicious. We're both coffee aficionados, and agreed that the coffee was excellent - and we don't often rate coffee shops so highly. So if you're needing a coffee in Ilfracombe, go to Johnny C's and not the flint-hearted place down the road.

Stopped here for breakfast on our vacation. Food was delicious and service was the best we’ve had in town. Best chai I’ve ever had.

Nice clean and fresh looking place. We had toast with scrambled egg which was nice after checking out a few other places that often only serve beans and sausages. Lovely.

Had fantastic coffee and then lunch at Johnny C’s. One of the best places to eat lunch in my view! The owner is super friendly and clearly cares about providing good quality food, drink and atmosphere. Loved the diner theme, which is very classy (no chrome in sight)! The perfect place to sit in the comfy chairs in the window and watch the world go by, or read a book or chat to someone.

Went in for a quick coffee on a rainy day, and stayed for much more. Despite not being on the menu, the host served a very decent Irish coffee to warm the cockles and we followed this up with a delicious cheese toastie. Recommend for a stop.

I come here every Thursday with my group of ladies doing knitting and crochet and we all really enjoy going there. So me and my partner went there yesterday (04/08/2023) for some lunch and we both really enjoyed what we had and because we enjoyed it that much we are going to make it a regular thing 😁
