Wow !! Why have I not found you before, called in for a quick bite ... ended up with the full 3 course affair, and to be honest was expecting your general pub grub, how wrong was I. That has to be the best meal I have had in a long time, the chicken with chorizo. .... amazing. Will most definitely be making a return visit
Came here the other night for food, it's was incredible. The staff was very welcoming and we received brilliant customer service from start to finish. We had the burger (which was massive) and the Thai prawn noodles. We have previously been here for Sunday lunch too and it was divine! If you are looking for a fresh hearty meal with friendly welcoming staff then I would certinally recommend. We will see you soon.
Found this little gem while on honeymoon. Food is amazing full of flavour and generous portions. Had meals here on three different days, chorizo chicken with white bbq sauce & chicken Korma huge hit on our first visit, came back the following day for Sunday roast, just about squeezed in a pudding after and our final night we treated ourselves to the homemade burger with bacon & cheese topping again followed by pudding. Fabulous food friendly staff that make you feel very welcome. Perfect balance between restaurant & bar. Will definitely be back when we're in the area again.
We went to Hele bay pub tonight for the valentines meal it was first class couldn't fault anything from the minute we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome , the tables were decorated lovely and the meal was to die for think we have found our new eating place
Eaten here twice this week and was superb both nights - have the best gammon I've ever tasted and nothing was too much trouble for the very attentive staff- .Also popped in for just a drink and sat on the new sun terrace which was lovely and enjoyed a couple of hours simply chilling out- if you're in the area of Hele Bay this place is definitely worth a visit.
We will be back to visit you when we come again in September

The best lasagna I have eaten! Friendly staff and everyone on our table enjoyed their homemade food. Definitely worth a visit. Wish we lived closer to visit again soon.
We used this pub every evening for either drinks or for food while we stayed at Beach Cove resort, great staff and great service. We had a burger, sirlon steak, lasagne and the hotpot all of which were fantastic meals. The locals are welcoming and always asked we we had been on the day and they play joker poker on Tuesdays and Thursdays with a chance of winning some cash. Will definitely call in if we're down that way again 5* all day long...

Amazing find! Driven past a few times and thought how nice the refurbishment looked so decided to go for sunday lunch. Amazing food and service with wonderful sea views. Lovely Menu and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

Amazing home cooked food. Not your average pub food. The chef is clearly very passionate about the food he serves. Staff very helpful particularly if you have a dietary requirement. We stayed at Beach Cove and ate here every day the food was that good!!
Fantastic food , staff & Atmosphere . My husband & I had the steak & wine deal the steaks were cooked to perfection !!!! Will definitely return again .

Plenty of outdoor space in the sun at midday (open time) on a Friday.
Chicken burger was very good, moist, big chicken breast.
I was told the burger was also good. Only had soft drinks so can’t comment on alcohol. Area outside could be made to look a bit nicer, they were people putting up parasols and moving furniture around. About 9 outdoor wooden picnic benches and also some rattan style seats with tables. Inside and outside looked clean. Would return.
We spent the morning looking for sea glass in Hele bay and then popped up to the Hele Bay Pub for some lunch.
We were greeted with a friendly smile and a chat.
We chose to sit inside (with our dog) though there was a garden with a sea view.
The lunch menu was lovely and the kids menu was great (and good value).
The food was delicious and didn't take long to come out - everyone loved their meal!
I had the pulled pork on chips - wow!
There was a nice selection of local beers available.
There was even a downstairs with kids things to keep them entertained.
I'd definitely go back again!
We have literally just left and I was so compelled to write a review. We came here with our dachshund and our 5 month old. We had absolutely excellent and loaded plates of Sunday dinner. The meat was beautiful. We then had really lovely desserts (I had a massive slice of choc fudge cake).
The food was brilliant, but more importantly the service was incredible. Way above and beyond. When we arrived they made space for us, the barman made sure we got best value for money on the meal deal, he pointed out baby changing and offered to heat bottles or whatever we needed. Not only that but as I was eating dessert our baby started fussing... A lovely lady (who I think may have been manager?) literally rocked the pram keeping little one happy so I could eat my cake in peace! Just the best service we have seen in ages. I would strongly recommend a visit!!
Cannot recommend highly enough. The food was lovely, the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. We had the roast dinner, the portions are great, loads of veg and perfectly cooked meat. So glad we stumbled upon this pub! Extra mention for the young lad serving food, he was polite and charming and is sure to go far!
The pub a slightly mixed bag. The service was great and the host lovely but we were seated in a slightly dark corner, although we did meet some lovely dogs at our table. Downstairs was a nice tough but signs of damp and a funny smell. Food was good and reasonably priced
Friendly staff, nice food, yet a lack of information on the website.
The menu on offer at the moment is heavily reduced, they are currently not offering starters or desserts and a smaller selection of mains than advertised on the website.
There was also no mention of a reduced menu when booking.
A reduced menu is completely understandable due to staff shortages, however it would be nice to know beforehand.
Other than that, very nice food.
Food here was great, three people in our group had fish & chips and said it was lovely, the portions were huge and extremely tasty! I however had the ribs and WOW… these were absolutely stunning, the size of them was huge and full of flavour - highly recommend.
Great, child friendly pub. Nice staff and locals. Good food and relaxed but not your run of the mill menu. A little more than average. Recommend the Belgium waffle in maple syrup!
Really lovely burgers, the chicken burger came with two options- either grilled or fried breadcrumb. Came with onion rings and a decent portion of chips. Tasty though. Staff were friendly and pleasant, very attentive. Overall cost was slightly on the pricey side, but as we were visiting for the first time and possibly the last- worth it. The menu has a good variety also
Didnt actually use the bay pub did hear the sad news about the Queen passing away bless her had a look around the bay first time been down there sweet place people swimming in the sea weather wasn't great but ideal place for a quiet little cove cafe toilets small beach cheap parking too definitely go again.

Lovey pub great for families, there’s a soft play area downstairs and plenty of room inside and outside for people to sit. Food was very nice also (there was gravy and vegetables that came out separately that does not show in the pictures) pricing was fair aswell.
Lovely pub in Hele Bay, looking out onto the beach. Seating inside and outside with food and drink options. Best book for food, it's gets busy. Lovely Sunday roasts and decent pub food options during the week.
