Very impressed! Came with friends, we were not sure where to go that evening midweek, booked a table. The place was pretty empty on a Tuesday evening so we wondered how the food would be. However, the food was amazing. Lovely menu, not the usual boring Indian dishes. Fancy names for everything including drinks! It’s a fine dining place after all.
We ordered a different starters that were spicy and nice on the taste palette.
Main dishes were very delicious too and we were too full otherwise would have tried desserts too.
It is well decorated and you can take loads of instagrammable photos there!
I definitely recommend this place, whether for a date or just to have a night out with friends!

The decor is lovely and food was amazing. From the presentation, wait time and the taste, it’s definitely one that I would recommend. Not too spicy so just right for everyone. I was pleasantly surprised for the whole experience.

We went when we were having a sporadic storm with thunder & lightning. Due to the weather, it was very quiet but in some sense after a long week it was nice to be able to enjoy the music and catch-up with my dear friend. Also the music re-mix playlist was on point! Lovely to hear some classic tunes that had been blended remixed with new tunes...Nice! Lighting was perfect, not too low for the evening...Decor is cute and clean.
Despite it being quiet, service was excellent. Staff were very welcoming when we walked in. Usually you'll find restaurants service being poor when it's quiet as floor staff relax and chat amongst themselves. But service there was fab.
Having a medium range in the menu is a great idea, it may need a little tweeking as per customer requests in due time, which I saw the manager do when talking to the customers taking on board suggestions. But good because it means the dishes are perfected in training.
Mocktail drinks came out and looked sooo cute and tasted gorgeous 😍.
I ordered a Mumbai Dhinchaak as the ingredients are soo me! Elderflower, Pineapple, Ginger...loved it, yum! and my friend ordered a Bindas which is a refreshing lemony minty taste Mocktail.
Food came out fresh and cooked well.
The only two things I'd pick on is the garlic naan, I wish it was bigger in size, chunky / fluffier...it was a bit slim/thin for my liking, and portion size is a bit small for the price of each dish....those would have been the only flaw for me.
This place is done up really nicely with the decor. Atmosphere was great with familiar background Indian remixes. Food presentation was excellent with the dry ice smoke. Service was friendly and accommodating. We even managed to pray at the back.
Had a great experience at Mumbai7. The ambience of the place was amazing, and so was the hospitality. We absolutely loved the lamb chops, they were so juicy and succulent!
Would defo recommend to pop down.
My husband treated me to Mumbai 7 for my birthday. The food was beyond imaginable. They have a chicken biryani which isn't on the menu yet which was 10/10 and a chicken lollipop which was made in Mumbai style along with masala fries. We had a great time at Mumbai 7. The service was outstanding from the second we walked in. We was greeted with a warm welcome. This has to be one of the best Indian restaurants in east London. Must try #hiddengem
Excellent service, manager was the best he is very professional, excellent communication. Family night out for daughter’s birthday, they allowed us to bring our own cake, the staff came over with the cake & wished happy birthday. The lamb chops are delicious, all the food was delicious. Will be visiting again soon. Staff are very friendly.
Delicious and tasty food! Presentation was nice and food was made fresh. Friendly staff and service. Found prices high but the presentation and food taste made up for it. Very nice I will be visiting it again. Gets busy at times and not so much seating so be sure to book in advance so you are not let down or having to wait.
Mumbai7 was an amazing experience, the service was exceptional and everyone made us feel very welcome. The gentleman that seated us also explained every dish that we ordered when it came out which we thought was very nice. The attention to detail was very good the tables and chairs was very comfortable and clean. The drinks was just amazing and refreshing would go back for the drinks alone and the food was lovely. The food itself was very different to normal Indian restaurants hence the gentleman introduce each dish. But long story short the food was 10/10
