Dined here on Saturday evening and can say everything was amazing. Firstly all the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Wait times were faster than expected as the restaurant was packed. All food arrived hot with brilliant presentation and Everything tasted amazing, I’d say the lamb Rogan Josh was the best curry I’ve had! They have a small prayer area too. Felt really well looked after and I am definitely planning to come back and have recommended to family and friends.

The food was great with professional service. The starters was served first but the portions aren't enough for 2 people. The main food was tasty with enough for people to share. Overall great experience.

I had an amazing dining experience at Saffron Street. The place always has a queue and reservations are recommended. The restaurant is nice and spacious with beautiful decor. Ordered the following: The mixed grill came with two of each, pahadi murgh tikka, lamb chops, seekh kebab, tandoori chicken and sholay wings. All the meats were super tender and full of flavour. 5/5 Bombay Birria Tacos filled with pulled lamb. The meat was amazingly soft and delicious. 5/5 Masala chips were delicious, a must order. 5/5 Jug of Passion Fruit Mocktail - it was 2 of us and we got a few glasses each. The mocktail was really nice and refreshing. 5/5 The presentation of the dishes were amazing followed by the outstanding service by the staff, they regularly checked on us while we were eating to make sure we had everything we needed. There’s a pay and display car park nearby which is free after 5pm Monday - Saturday. Highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

I recently dined at this beautifully decorated restaurant and had an amazing experience. The first thing that impressed me was the generous portions they offered. It's always a delight to leave a restaurant feeling satisfied, and this place definitely delivered on that front. The menu had a wide variety of options to choose from, ensuring there was something for everyone. One dish that stood out among the rest was the tandoori Momos. They were outstanding and left me wanting more. However, the highlight of my visit was the Jackfruit Biryani, which brought back nostalgic memories from my childhood. The flavours were exquisite, and the presentation was top-notch. The authenticity of the Indian cuisine was commendable. Each dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, making it a truly authentic dining experience. The restaurant's ambience added to the overall enjoyment, creating a pleasant atmosphere to savour the delicious food. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic Indian dining experience. The combination of exceptional taste, wonderful ambience, decent portion sizes, and affordable prices make it a standout option for Indian cuisine enthusiasts. I'll definitely be returning to try more of their delectable dishes.

I enjoyed the food here for the price paid the food was good, a few items questionable like the pani puri and the fresh lemon juice (too sweet) but the chickpea chowla was very nice with lamb tacos, the biryani was spicy as requested, we tried a few dishes from the starters which were good and it was well presented, if you don’t like anything heavily spiced this is a good place to visit. I’ve given this a 4 because the chickpea bread was absolutely delightful and I’d just come back for that and we did eat well for a lunch meal and also have left over food after 4 people ate.

Really nice Indian, Chinese food with ample seating available. Family friendly. Enough parking available on street, which is free after 6:30. A small prayer area is also available. Thaali was a mixture of different foods which was absolutely sensational. Would recommend to families.

Was fortunate to have not waited and got our table immediately. This place always has a queue and bookings are recommended for larger groups or peak times. Portion sizes are decent, I ordered far too much thinking street food portion sizes will be served. However the portions were very reasonable. The food tasted great. None of the dishes we had were hot, so if you are looking for spicy dishes, you may not get what you are looking for. However the food is very tasty and can be enjoyed without having your mouth on fire. The mix grill and chops were superb. All the meats were super tender and full of flavour. Lamb kharai is in the bone. The sauce has decent spice without being overpowering, however if your tolerance is low, you may find it hot. The Tarka daal was lovely. Frankly I could have been content with this and a few chapattis. This has so much flavour and nice consistency without being runny or thick. If you like you fish, the pomfret was outstanding. Chicken curry was nice, on the bone and plenty of flavour. For a bit of show, the tandoori chaii is a novelty. However I personally did not enjoy this tea. Karak chaii is more nicer. The tandoori chaii was strong with ginger. Not my thing. While I over ordered and ended up taking home most of the food, I just had to order the desserts. The kids had ice cream - and this was of very high quality. Smooth gelato with robust flavours. For the grown up, the fried ice cream is a must along with the Devine but heavy cinnamon doughnuts. The latter can be shared easily. The fried ice cream was sensational. Ice cream wrapped in a filo pastry with Nutella and berries encased with vanilla ice cream. Yum! Cinnamon doughnuts were amazing which were warm and served with vanilla ice cream too. The service was good too, can’t complain. I was rather apprehensive coming here, reading all the mixed reviews. Glad I decided to try myself. Very pleasantly satisfied. Just don’t expect street food prices.

This is a really busy restaurant. Which means they must be doing something right! Very relaxing and cosy ambiance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They did go out their way to make you comfortable and enjoy the experience. Food was spot on. Nice traditional Indian meals..lovely cutlery, gave it that traditional touch! We went for the platter, which had a little of everything we wanted. 3 of us had it comfortably. Maybe Add an extra naan or roti?.. Great for families! And the chai and desserts...just right!!

Been on 2 occasions. Both times the food was top notch and service was brilliant. Pics are from both visits. Prices are similar to what you'd pay at another restaurants. Portions was well enough for the amount of people that came along. Definitely be back
