Kanchans offer proper authentic north Indian fare. It is one of the better restaurants in the area and overall the standard of the food is very good.
The waiting staff are great, wearing traditional Indian sherwanis they are quick to remove any dirty dishes and generally are helpful and pleasant to speak to.
Ambiance in the restaurant is nice, not very noisy or overly busy and you will not be hurried or rushed into finishing your meal.
Food was very tasty, I particularly enjoyed the Tandoori King Prawns and the garlic naan. All came fresh , hot to the table and tasted very authentic.
Pricing is a letdown though with Kanchans being one of the most expensive curry houses in the area.

We have tried plenty of Indian restaurants in East London and when it comes to top quality authentic Indian food this is the best you will ever find. Every time we eat in here we feel like we back in North India somewhere, that flavours so good, it takes us back home. Top quality food and top service.
Also they were so good we booked them for our wedding catering and let me tell you when it comes to catering for your big event this is the place to book. We were amazed at how good they were, they literally ran the whole wedding. Top service and delicious food for our guests, we had guests call us after the wedding to enquire where the food was from because it was just that good the guests wanted more.
This place is a must visit to try the delicious food on offer, Also if you need catering for any events then these guys are the ones to call. The best ones out there. Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing place. Can bee expensive but they always deliver on the taste, tradition, and staff are so lovely. It’s the place for an Indian family meal, a treat on your friend’s special day, or even for a romantic Valentine’s. And it’s quite quiet for such an exquisite restaurant, they’re so underrated. The workers don’t get what they deserve.

Lovely Indian restaurant and banquet hall. Mainly Punjabi (North-West Indian) cuisine with a wealth of vegetarian, vegan and meat-based options for all types of diets. Beautiful interior and a classic old-school vibe. Starters were incredible, arguably the highlight, and the portions throughout the meal were all generous sizes. Lots of different alcoholic drinks on offer too, completing the requirements for a big celebration dinner.
The food was delicious and it is good place for family dinner out.
Standards are improving since we last visited this restaurant a few times about 3 years ago before the Covid Pandemic. It seems management have taken suggestions from reviews or may be have changed the Chef and managers staff, because curries have more vegetables and not too much gravy like before.
Service was also better with improved staff training. Waiters are more observant and attentive being sensitive to customer needs.

Kanchans provided the food and staff for my daughter’s wedding reception and everything was fantastic. The food was amazing and all the guests made a point to say how great the mains, in particular, were. Thanks Peter for such excellent service.
I booked my civil wedding celebrations at Kanchans yesterday. Moorthy from Kanchans was there from day 1 with the planning and organising. On the event day, the entire Kanchans team including their management team provided exceptional service to both sides of the family.
The food was exceptional and everyone who came really appreciated the 3 course meal. The team catered for all my guests with dietary requirements.
I truly am very grateful to Moorthy and the entire team for making our celebrations even more memorable.

We went recently for a wedding party and were really pleasantly surprised by the decor, service and most importantly the food! The starters were so moorish, especially the fish pakora (anyone who knows me knows I don't eat fish!) and the mains were just as good!
Will definitely come again and try the main resteraunt next time, one to shortlist !

This evening I had the most incredible Indian food I’ve ever tasted in my whole life from @kanchans_events . I’m very fussy with Indian food and obviously I know the difference between Bangladeshi and Punjabi food. Tonight I had Vegetable Biryani, Salmon Tikka, Malai Chicken Tikka, Tandoori King-prawns, Dal Makhani & Butter Chicken along with Butter Naans cheese and onion Naans and raita/chutneys and a fresh salad with fresh green chilli in 🤤 such an incredible meal and the flavours were just mind blowing. I’ve eaten many Indian meals in my 31 years on this earth but not one has ever compared or come close to this one. @kanchans_events you’ve seriously blown my mind tonight ! Incredible flavours, amazing presentation, and everything so so fresh. The king prawns were so so fresh and meaty and the butter chicken melted in your mouth .. the dal makhani was to die for and obviously went so well with naan too, the biryani was so tasty - again the best biryani I’ve tasted. I can’t fault anything with this meal whatsoever and even the delivery was prompt and the staff so so lovely and the owners so welcoming too. A huge thank you to @kanchans_events and if you don’t know about @kanchans_events I suggest you get to know and also check out their new venture tandoori feathers. 100/10 from me 🔥🔥🔥 fire !!!!!
Went today for fathers day meal it was OK not bad but its like any other Indian restauranti reckon but not the best I think had to wait for starter and mains service was bit on slow side I think but overall it was OK shame der no parking at restaurant so had to park at side road
