Was a last minute dinner date with my daughter as she had finished work early and we popped in after being turnt away from our usual haunts. So glad, as this place is a real treasure. Nice clean tastefully decorated interior, not too in your face to distract you from your quality time at the table. The staff were all keen to make a great impression and were super welcoming. The manager Antonio even came round the restaurant introducing himself and his team to us diners, which was really nice, as not many managers face their customers like this, he was really proud of this place and that's why I'm going to be making this one of our regular spots. We ordered steaks, and they were exactly medium rare, which Gordon Ramsey would have stamped his approval on. Loved the mushrooms too, and this main course was served on a sizzle plate, so no cold anything even though my daughter and I were chatting each others ears off. If your a coffee lover, do not despair, they make a wicked cappuccino (which i added my own artwork to :)and tasty mocktails with fresh raspberries. Honestly, we were really impressed and thankful they welcomed us in, without having booked-I have to give a big thanks to the lovely young lady who greeted us at the door with a big smile and told us all about the restaurant having just been opened, apologies as I am terrible at names but I think she was Georgia. Great gal and exceptional customer service. Highly recommend trying this place out, I'm planning to bring a bunch of colleagues here soon for an early Christmas dinner party. Thanks all.

Went for a last minute lunch here a while back and I must say, from the last time I was there, the service is much better. The decor was looking good, it felt clean and welcoming. Nothing was too much for the staff, especially Rob, he went above and beyond to cater to us. My son was a bit fussy with his food and he sorted us out with no problem.

Was a regular lunch customer before recent refurbishment and my dining friend and I missed it tremendously during the closure. Was so relieved that the quality of food and attention to comfort of customers has been sustained by Antonio and his staff since the August re-opening. The Old Maypole doesn't disappoint. I've never had a poorly cooked meal, anything but the best service from all the staff in a pleasant and comfortable environment. Full marks to Antonio. He's set and keeps the bar high.

Hi my wife and I came on on Thursday a couple of days after opening , staff were very friendly , there was a bit of lateness with one meal coming out and service was slightly slow but staff were still getting used to new tills and computers etc which was perfectly understandable the lady manager was sincere and apologetic and gave us free drinks and ice cream which was really generous and kind of her. Food was very good! I then came back on Sunday with my wife and parents and had a great time , all food was on time and together and the staff were so nice, couldn’t fault it at all, great place , I will be a regular now. All staff smiled when making eye contact which just gave for a great atmosphere and time flew

Both food and service were Outstanding. We ordered super size fish and chips a a rack of ribs and trio of deserts. The portions were so generous that each meal could have served 2. We'll definitely make this a regular

Food was lovley and service was very kind. Drinks were also great and everything was reasonably priced. Will definatley go again. Great place to catch up with friends.

Went for a meal and drink food was lovely and l presented well. The manager was friendly and happy to help. The place has free parking (for customers only) is big inside and has a cosy feel. The beer garden looks like a great place to enjoy a drink in the summer.
