We had a lovely lunch here, the business lunch is £11.50 very reasonable portions. My massaman lamb curry and coconut rice was one of best I've ever had. Hope to return for buffet. The chicken and lamb is halal. We all enjoyed our dishes.
Was here last month with a local friend. It is one of the close to authentic thai fine dining restaurants in & around essex. Calm & cozy ambience with good service is the USP of this place. Being a vegetarian I was skeptical about finding my choice of food here, but to my surprise, the place offers a decent variety of vegetarian choices, in soups, entree, main course. It was a good evening with a hearty meal after a long day. Will highly recommend this place to locals as well as the visitors..
Good place. Not that expensive. Few authentic dishes might be difficult for europeans, but they are good enough within their own context.
Nice and friendly customer service. We had spare ribs, roast duck and rice in pineapple. Presentation was very good too.
Good variety of tasty Thai food.
I’m a Papaya Salad lover, so mostly any Thai place I went to, I had to order one of these salads.
It’s made freshly and the taste is nice as well. I’ve been there twice and the quality was both times good. I ate as well Pad Thai and some other dishes and these have been very delicious as well - The only thing I missed was dried shrimps.
It’s maybe a bit pricey but good for what you get.
Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed of the drinks since they have been way too sweet (Cocktails)
Really tasty meals served in a relaxed atmosphere. The sound of the water fountain is soothing. Spacious as well. It is advisable to choose different mains and share when in a group. Enjoyed the desserts as well. There is a sunday buffet from 12 to 4pm. Going to try it soon. Can be a bit pricey though
Very good food and many varieties. Service as quick as possible. Biggest restaurant with wonderful setup. Price very good . Taste of asian epics always super hot and spicy. Excellent time with family . Kids love the food nicely decorated present well with nice mango smoothies. All choice available. Highly recommend.
One of the best Thai restaurants in London if not the best. I first started eating here around 10 years ago. Very fresh food packed with flavour. I have travelled to Thailand many times so know my Thai food and have no hesitation in stating that Elephant Royale offers a authentic Thai culinary experience. The lobster is a favourite of mine.
Food was delicious, we ordered the fish cakes and chicken parcels for starters and then had the lamb massuma, fish, chicken green curry and pad thai noodles for main. The place was nice and clean.
Only reason it didn't get a 5* rating from me is because the manager was arguing that service charge is mandatory, even though we knew British law states otherwise. In the end he 'let us off this time but we'd have to pay it next time'. I'm not sure they'll get many returning customers with that attitude. We added a tip in with the bill but it does sour the experience somewhat.
Last night we had a wonderful birthday party of our uncle. We booked table just before dinner, although their birthday special decorations was great. Specially we went that restaurant cause all are HALAL food and we enjoyed every single food from starters up-to mains. I will recommend this restaurant who ever like Thai food must go there And spacial thanks to Mr Sohel and his team for excellent services. We will go again.
Buffet is damn good on Sunday. Cocktails are quite nice, friendly environment. Ask for the pre order hainan chicken rice a day in advance and that's mind blowing, they don't do that on Sunday tho. Medium value for money but worth the visit for people in the area.
Went their out of curiosity and now it's a firm favourite after at least 5 times in the last 3 months. I've been for their lunch and evening menu's and had fantastic meals in all the occasions I've been. The atmosphere is surreal with its koi pond and dark lighting it sets the whole place away from being on Gant's hill round about. Fresh tasting packed with flavour. Only grumble is the price in the evening. It isn't cheap but it is worth the price being asked. I would suggest the lunch options that have the favourite choices but for a much cheaper price.
Fabulous restaurant, fabulous food, fabulous waiting service and not that expensive. Would be nice if the under 18’s were confined to an early sitting rather than a late one when all decent adults would like to enjoy a meal in peace. Snobby? Absolutely!!
Nice n tasty.. Thai food..
