The Huntsman is a classic Georgian pub serving some delectable fare and great beers on tap
Been here fr lunch on a weekend
Ambiance 4/5
The place has a old school charm to it
The wooden decor dim chandeliers add charm to this place
The seating options are quite comfortable
Food and drinks 4/5
A great pub near Bath spa , to catch up for some drinks and beer
We tried some beers and fish n chips
The fish as chips are pretty good
Loved the cod used as fillet and the dip served along
The beers taste great
Amstel and Frontier 🍻

Amstel has 4.1% ABV and is a pale lager
Was founded in 1870 Amsterdam Netherlands initially
Later this brand is taken over by Heineken
If you love lager this one is the right choice ✅

Later one is the Fullers frontier beer 🍺
Found way back in1845 Chiswick London
This one is ale with an ABV of 4.5%

The ale is a bit estery
But loved the lager which is crisp
over all a good place
The staff here are warm and dutiful
Will be back soon to try more beers and other delicacies

Service 4.5/5
The staff are attentive and do their best
They did serve the drinks in no time
The food arrived sooner
They made sure we are comfortable and had great wale of time

VFM 4/5
A meal for two will cost 40 pounds
They food options are small but are palatable
The drinks are just right
Will visit soon

OMG, this is a wonderful pub! Cozy, friendly and comfortable. We plan to have a meal here this week. Come to Ide, visit The Huntsman! We have returned and enjoyed a lovely meal. So, more than ever, call in to The Huntsman and enjoy a fantastic English pub! P.S. Their Sunday roast is very, very popular, book if you want one!

A really warm welcome from the lovely owners and staff. We were a large party who were very well looked after for a lunchtime meal. It was a really enjoyable experience and the extensive outdoor space made it a perfect venue in the sunshine. Everything was spotlessly clean, neat and smart. Indoors is quaint and very cosy and we’d have been more than happy to eat indoors had it been raining. The food was exactly what it said on the menu - they had kept it simple and delicious. All the options we had between us were really tasty and everyone enjoyed their meals. The children were also well catered for. I would definitely recommend it as a place to stop for a meal and beverage. It is homely, comfortable and friendly. The prices are extremely reasonable. Thank you to the staff for making it a great family rendezvous.

We went to this great pub and sat out in one of their new lodges outside in the beer garden. We all had fantastic food and we were made to feel very welcome by staff and the landlord. I would really recommend anyone to visit this great pub with a great feel to it.

Had a superb takeaway meal from the Huntsman's regular menu. Exceptional quality and probably £20 per head (main course and dessert). Definitely do it again and who knows, we might even dine in (the ambience and decor is very warm and homely).

Our group of 10 had lovely Sunday lunch here today. Great Yorkshire Pudding, excellent (Cod) fish & chips, roast Cod and burger, together with nice draft lager🍻. Reasonable price. Very nice friendly pub atmosphere, and the friendliest and nicest owner!! We feel like being in an old friend’s home 😀😀. Thanks, Bryan, for your great hospitality👍🙏

Really lovely little pub with friendly staff. Stopped for Sunday lunch - but sadly its only avaliable Sept - March. But had good menu choice, I very much enjoyed a tasty goats cheese and caramelised onion pizza - traditional style thin bread. The fish and chips had good praise from my friend.

Visited with friends that live locally, who said it's a favourite of theirs. The interior is so cosy and a little quirky, which I love. I imagine it'd be especially lovely at Christmas. Service was great, with friendly, welcoming staff. We loved the Ide Cocktail- though definitely a little dangerous!! I had the steak pie which was excellent. Very filling so we didn't have dessert, but I'm sure it'd have been lovely. All average pub prices but actually I'd say it was really good value for money considering how good the food and drinks were. Absolutely would recommend if you're nearby!

Most efficiently organised food preparation and service. A small country pub excelled in coping with a large number/group of customers. Reasonably priced food menu. Would certainly recommend.

Best pub in the village for food, drink, service and cleanliness. Plus watch out if you go to the other pub, pub dog allowed to roam free unsupervised and can be quite nasty towards other dogs. Much better and safer at the Huntsman.
