The Duke Of York - Iddesleigh - Photo album

We had lunch here and the food was amazing. My husband particularly extolled the virtues of the steak and kidney pudding saying he'd never tasted anything like it and that it was a treat for his taste buds! All of the food we had was delicious, locally sourced and freshly made. We will definitely be
My son brought me here for a surprise birthday meal and the staff were absolutely lovely looking after us. He asked our waitress to recommend the dishes and we certainly weren't disappointed. This is definitely somewhere I would bring friends and family for special occasions. We didn't stay overnigh
Was honestly outstanding! Firstly they squeezed us in last minute even being very booked which extremely kind of them. The food was genuinely unbelievable, we had the duke of pork and it was just unreal. Staff were so kind, wish I lived closer and wasn't on holiday as I would go again in a heartbeat
I can't comment on the rooms as we just went for a meal. We phoned last-minute, and managed to get the last table available. The staff were really nice and friendly, and it had a nice atmosphere. The food was really nice and well cooked.
Staying locally, saw a recommendation in visitors book where we are staying, to try this place for a meal. was not disappointed, and found to be reasonably priced. Lovely hot homecooked food, good friendly service... no airs or graces. Good pub food !!!!
I have stayed here several times over many years and eaten here on numerous occasions. The Duke of York is a proper old fashioned country pub and that is one of its principle charms. Half my family tree come from the area, so that's maybe one reason I keep getting drawn back. Though I don't live in
Beautiful location, yes it's a bit off the track but it's stunning scenery. Service fantastic, everyone from check in to dinner, breakfast and checkout all friendly, local service. Kid and dog friendly. We travelled with out small dog and two kids 7&4.
Excellent pub/restaurant with rooms. Quality of food very good, and large portions. Well worth a detour.
Stayed for four days at the old coach house, coming from France, we spent few hours at the Duke of York. Very friendly place with wonderfull people. Napoleon ( our Jack Russel) loved to be there!!
This pub is a little gem and was recommended by our Airbnb hosts. It's obviously steeped in wonderful history but also the Sunday roast is by far the best we've had. I rarely order a roast in a pub as it's never as good as at home and normally disappointing, but decided to give it a go. It was so de
Lovely pub. They managed to get us in for some delicious food as all the tables were reserved. Friendly, welcoming folk.
Awesome pub. Steeped in history. Fab food and atmosphere.
I happened upon this gem at midday on a cold day. There was a warm fire and a strong hot cup of tea waiting for me. As I enjoyed my cuppa, some area regulars filed in and we were treated to warm hospitality. I look forward to having a meal here sometime!
Very old Coaching house, excellent food reasonably priced and great atmosphere. Would recommend Will definitely be going there again. easonably priced and
We visited this pub last year to sample their famous steak and kidney puddings so we could not resist a return visit. This was a lunchtime visit so sampled lighter fare from the menu which was excellent, again. The roads around here are very narrow so caution is needed.
Wonderful old pub, not re-vamped. Great beer and affordable tasty food. Tremendous atmosphere - a true step back in time. Had lunch, just a bacon and brie toastie but it was superb. Lovely little garden out the back and dog friendly too. What's not to like.
In the heart of the North Devon countryside it is a gem with fantastic food, beer& cider.
Love this pub! Food is great, nice range of drinks, ales straight from the cask also good. The ambience and decor must not change as its a great country pub, and like a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Fantastic.
Brilliant Pub with rooms and restaurant. Old charm with lovely feel to the place. Great selection of menus - food really good. Beers excellent with some local ales in casks. Staff and landlord made us feel welcome from our very first visit. Every time we go we get lovely greetings as though we have
