Great place, hard to find, and doesn't look like much from outside, put definitely worth finding, very good food, and a superb view across the Solent. Recommended, try the wild mushroom bruschetta, and the cooked fish platter.

Being from the Isle of Wight I don't know the area. Really fancied some seafood so I typed in Google "seafood restaurant with a sea view" Seashells came up first but was 40 mins away, We had some time to kill so decided to drive there. So glad I did, the food was amazing, surpassed my expectations, & the view was awesome. Don't normally eat desert but as the food was so nice we decided to try one, It was delicious. Will definitely return when on mainland again for sure.

Great menu, efficient, friendly staff, great menu - had the swordfish - delish! On top of this, sat out on the patio over looking Solent Waters watching the ships sail by. Perfect evening.

Was in hythe for the evening so decide to go to seashells , have been many times before , but first time for evening meal . It was very very busy but was able to get a table . It was my husbands first visit & had raved about it to him in the passed .our order was taken an d starters came in about 15mins . We then waited for our mains , as I said it was very busy , but after waiting 1hour I was not happy as still waiting so called waiter over saying we had been waiting over 1hour , just then our main came out . He did apologise & have a free drink on the house . The food was lovely & will go again only when it's not so busy

Had a absolutely fab Xmas Meal here recently best value and menu in area in my opinion and didn't fail to deliver only gripe is the steak was served medium rather than medium rare but it was delicious and the Xmas pudding cheesecake very well executed!
