So I wasn't sure at first to eat here. From the outside, it just looks like a bit of a rundown pub. However, after looking at what menu we could find online, we decided to give it a good.
Firstly, there were two ladies working, and both were friendly, happy, and a pleasure to be around. One of the ladies was very funny and down to earth.
We were treated to table service with a good selection of draught and bottles available. The food menu was really good with a wide choice to suit most. We were told today was pie night (two pies and a bottle of wine £35)
My friend had the chicken, ham, and leak pie, and I had the hunters chicken. Both of them looked amazing and tasted even better. We also had a side of garlic bread and onion rings for the table. The food here was really good. Pipping hot, full of flavour, and definitely worth the money.
Staff were amazing. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. However, my only advice is to book to avoid any disappointment

Was staying in the area overnight and had no recommendations for dinner, but after a day of thumping rain I really fancied some comfort food.
We arrived on pie night and had to have exactly that. Chicken, ham and leek - absolutely delicious, and served with loads of veg.
Staff were fantastic, very attentive and a great rapport with customers.
Tables filled up very quickly so I would book to avoid disappointment.

Very nice Seafood platter, burger was OK and pie was pretty good so all in all food was tasty, good quality and reasonably priced.
Service was OK, bit awkward with the one bar person, but the younger members of the service team were great.
It was a very traditional pub and was what you would expect, the ladies loos had very nice toiletries and smelt great too. I was told by my wife😊

We were looking for a family friendly place to eat on a Sunday evening. Wasn't sure about this place from the outside but speaking with the staff they were so friendly, went above and beyond to make the children feel welcome. Food was delicious, great selection, even vegan friendly. Highly recommend this pub.

Lovely little pub! Great atmosphere, dogs allowed in. Ladies working there were really chatty and helpful. Food was absolutely fantastic. We've had a roast and kids had sausages and we all left plates empty!

We popped in for a quick drink, had a perusal of the menu. Very resalable prices and a great choice of food we will be returning for a meal. There are two halfs of this pub it seems to be one side for food and one side for drinks ( I may be wrong) this was my impression anyway. We chose to sit on the food side as the men's toilet was on the drinking side and dod not smell to pleasing.

Stopped here for some fish and chips, cup of coffee and a short afternoon of remote working. Friendly staff, great food, fast WiFi (password is in the menu). Lovely cosy English pub. Would recommend.

Best quality food I've had on ages. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. There's a long stay car park not to far from the restaurant and a lovely canal near by. Plenty of shops along the pleasant High St. Seating available inside and outside.

Visited Saturday night without booking and everyone so welcoming and helpful. Lovely staff. Very good food nothing was too much trouble. If you are visiting Hythe I would thoroughly recommend eating here Gloria P

Fish & chips is truly very tasty unlike in many other traditional pubs in England. Nice interior, very friendly and helpful waitress, good and varied choice on the menu, daily specials, lots of desserts, all very reasonably priced, clean, a great outside seating area oriented towards the evening sun (if sunny ;). Right in the center of historical Hythe. Very Covid-19 aware too. I was really impressed. No negatives at all. A 5 star place.

Lovely place to eat and enjoy time with friends and family. Only gripe was the air con was only turned on 10 minutes before we left although we had already asked if the room could be made cooler in any way :(

Dropped in for a quick(ish) light bite and a pint on the Easter Monday.
We arrived at about 3:30 and not wanting a full blown meal we were very happy to be told that we could still get something from the lunch menu.
Attentive service, and yet not pushy or rushed.
Had a nice chat with the manager who was very much "hands on", the food was delivered in about 10mins and most importantly, was very good. 😁
