A few people work exceptionally hard as volunteers to promote and run the market. The Town Team , Karen Dorney of Paper Tulips and the Market Team put on regular entertainment and organise the monthly Artisan Market, which is a huge success. Gordon Cooke keeps the historic roundabout spinning and traders give us a variety of stalls to shop at. On May 6th we will be presenting Pride In Hyde Awards to 27 local people and groups nominated by local people who add positively to the town. It will take place on the market at 1pm and is free to attend.

Me and my mum have just dined in the market hall kitchen. We both had bacon and cheese toasties with a cup of tea. The eating area is spotless everywhere very clean even the cutlery. The staff we out all the time tidying the tables and cleaning them. All staff work very hard. Food delicious. The guy who took our orders was very polite and helpful. Added bonus of salad and coleslaw with our toasties which we weren't expecting. We will both definitely return

This was the first time, for a long time that I have been to Hyde. I decided to go to the market to try and get my bearings and generally have a look round and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. The area of the inside and outside of the market area was spotless. The general public who were shopping even said hello as they passed by. Unfortunately there was not many stalls outside but I will try again. Absolutely fantastic I will definitely go again. Well done Hyde you've got an a new customer.

I visited today with a close friend to get our watches resized as they was big on us, they fit us better and the service we got from the watch supplier. Very good to see the market still there, haven't been in a few months.

I rode on the roundabout. πŸ€ͺ It made me dizzy but still fun. Also nice to speak with Gordon the owner.

Still worth a visit good accessibility and a range of retailers and indoor market. Good and reasonable key cutting service on market by entrance.

The underground market in Hyde is holding out relatively well. Still a lot of stalls that were there 2 or 3 decades ago. Markets generally are dying off and have been for some time, but if this place can hold out, maybe it can survive for decades to come. Still several fresh food stalls upstairs, clothing stalls, greetings cards, a record stall, and more. I would guess less than 15% of stalls are empty πŸ‘ The outside market is another matter. A lot of markets in the last 20 7ears have been "revamped" and the end result is they decline. It is a mixture of price rises, costs, and shopping habits. But there are still some regular stalls so keep going to keep it alive πŸ˜πŸ‘

Very very quiet and not enough shops and very huge space for empty for new business area, just few miles away from the Manchester city centre. I didn't went back from few years ago (since the) 2009 to 2019, after the lockdown event has started [late March 2020] and losing the business and money too.

Mainly Monday Friday and Saturday it is the busiest of days And there are alot more items to choose from plus much more cheaper than any superstores these days And the pound places are just as good as well SO GO AHEAD AND SAVE YOUR MONEY it's the best thing to do πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ There is also the best person who works at the one main place In Hyde is the best and the most EXCELLENT person who does his job what ever the weather is like buy cutting keys and sells certain items for the public to purchase he is the best πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ YES COMPLETELY there is hardly anything anymore just go to Hyde WHAT FOR ??????????????? absolutely gone right down now. Today I've been to Hyde town centre but why is it now that we are in the New year itself now why has Hyde still got the Christmas tree 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲 as for Hyde if should be made to look much more better than it ever used to be like not enough money has been spent on Hyde this is why it's gone down

Hyde is not the same as it use to be. It was very quiet and not too many people about. But still al good place to walk around. The outside market was on and had a few stalls open. Update: worse than ever, hardly anyone about...no change. Still the same ghost town...
