Love this place it's a little gem, we are regular visitors. The farm shop/deli/butchers (where they actually know the provenance of the meat) are all fab, great produce- some organic, in the rest of the shop too.
Got all our plants there this year & they're thriving. We regularly eat in the tea rooms where there are fab choices of home made food. We had booked for afternoon tea yesterday for a birthday treat, & as usual weren't disappointed, we had to box half the cakes up & bring them home to enjoy later on.
I have visited here since the early days & observed the business expand & go from strength to strength, I think that's due to the personal touch.
Keep up the good work Lymefield, &, in the immortal words of Arnie...."we'll be back...."
Every time I come here for lunch the food is gorgeous. The soup and sandwich option is definitely recommended. Everything tastes freshly made and the portions are a good size. An extra positive is that you can have a glass of wine with your meal too!
Found down the bottom of a long lane, parking is available.
Its a bit of everything, but not a great deal of stock of any one thing.
The garden centre is quite small, as is the shop.
The cafe is of average size and seems to be the main event that people go for, and is extremely busy.
At peak times it's tricky to get a table.
It seemed a little unorganised with us being guided to an available table that didnt exist and wasn't free .
Good if you're in the area but I wouldn't make a specific journey for it again.
Went for a family meal after scattering my Mother in law's ashes. Even though we had not booked and were quite a large party and it was well into the afternoon we were accommodated and everything we ordered was available on the menu. We were all delighted with our choices of food. I had the warm goats cheese and roasted vegetable salad. Delicious. Can highly recommend. Food and service excellent.
Good selection of plants and very popular cafe serving lovely food. The view from the car park isn't bad either!
Great place to visit. Lovely farm shop & garden centre. Fabulous food at cafe and friendly helpful staff
Lovely cafe, farm shop and garden centre. Good food reasonably priced, friendly staff. The mill shop was open next door and then I parked nearer the top road and had a woodland walk. Lovely way to spend the morning.
Amazing place! Nice variety of plants, flowers, trees, and everything you need for your garden. In the shop you can find all kinds of tools, plant food.
The farm shop is so well stocked with great meat cuts off all types and some pre prepared/ ready to cook options. Great produce at good prices.
The ya room is so good too! Lovely place to visit!!!
Thank you, Peter, for producing such a beautiful, last-minute buffet of sandwiches, pork pies, quiches and lots of amazing cakes for the team at Dawnvale. It has been the talk of the workplace and it made the Birthday girl feel very special.
This place gets super busy but it's definitely worth the wait. Luchs is always beautiful, the deli is of such great quality and the plant selection is the best in the area. The house plants section is dangerou$ so beware 🌵
We went to Lymefield farm shop on Thursday, what a nice place, the lady on the till was lovely, we've had the meat and potato pie for tea and wow it was so nice and we'll definitely be back
Really have found the jewel in the crown with this place. The restaurant food is amazing and the meat from the farm shop is fantastic. I didn’t get any of the cheeses but they looked great too. The staff are really friendly and accommodating
Great food and service in the restaurant.
Always very high quality, meat vegetables etc in the shop
I bought some rib beef from the butcher’s and made a slow stew which I can honestly say was the best I’ve ever tasted 😊🤩
Nice pleasant experience. Went for Garden centre & ended up in the Tea Rooms . Recommend the Cheese and Onion Pie.
Great place for brunch/lunch. Delicatessen and garden centre in rural setting. Customer toilets available. Flat access and disabled wc.
Fantastic range of bedding plants at great prices. Also their own produced butchers shop is brilliant plus you can enjoy their home grown produce in the extended restaurant...recommend the Sunday lunch.
Lovely staff in the cafe. In fact I wouldn’t call it a a cafe. I would call it a cafe I wold call it an restaurafe.
The only down side was our drinks (
mine an extra hot cappuccino) was sat waiting for the waitress to take it to me. Therefore, it was cold when it reached our table. We were very close too where they make the coffee.
The food was lovely and I was provided with with a bag for the other half of the wrap I couldn’t eat so I could take home.
The Butcher’s had an amazing array of meat. The steak beef burgers that I bought were the best that I have ever tasted. The young lad that served me was very knowledgeable too.
The staff in the grocery department were brilliant too especially when I asked the lady for ‘a quarter’ of pear drops ( I’m old school at 53) she didn’t bat an eyelid and gave me my (quarter) of sweets. What can I say? 24ct gold service.
