Beautiful hidden away country pub with great food and lovely staff - would like to keep it a secret but that would be selfish :-)

I genuinely just ate the best steak I've ever eaten in my life. Would walk back from Kent for another one

Had a meal here on Saturday night, nicely renovated and the Sea Bass was the best plate of food I have had in years, very tasty.

Made a special trip to try Simon Bonwick's famed classical French cooking and more than glad we did. Everything was exceptional, including a finely prepared starter of picked crab with citrus sauce, perfectly cooked tender lamb rump with salsa verde and a peach baba dessert that was out of this world. Service was warm, attentive and welcoming and the setting was very idyllic - off the beaten track in the woods. Followed lunch with a glorious hike back through the Thames Valley to catch the train back to London from Marlow. Will be back!

Wonderful lunch at the new Dew Drop Inn. Having just reopened this week with Simon Bonwick at the helm and a complete style change in the kitchen, we were eager to try it out. Very friendly front of house staff, Ian and Florence took great care to sort our apero and explain the menu options. Starters chosen were smoked salmon and the herring, which were fresh and delicious. As it was Sunday, I chose the roast beef special, and my partner picked the venison pie. Both dishes were outstanding and generous in size. We finished with a syrup sponge pudding with ice cream, which I now regret sharing 😋 The location is off the beaten track and charming. Great walks to do before or after lunch. We've already booked to return.

Probably one of the best Sunday roasts I ever had. Gravy was just 👌(and you can see that it was not just another store bought diluted gravy but a properly made). Everything we ordered was delicious. Duck was my favourite of all of them. This place is a hidden gem and must see! 😊

Spectacular food and the specials (crab and sole) were great. Service was stiff and rushed. Felt pressured to leave by 3pm. Is a restaurant and not a pub. We came looking for a relaxed lunch which it wasn’t.

Under new family ownership. Still good breakspears beer. Large beer garden. Food has gone upmarket. Good food but now high end prices. Under 12s not allowed to eat indoors. Hence exclusive upmarket feeling rather than old remote pub in the woods.

Support local pubs in 2023. Beautiful Friday lunch under the new team at The Dew Drop Inn. Crab starter with beef & lamb mains. And of course some ale & red wine to help things along. Sign posted from Henley Road turning into Honey Lane.

40 years we have been coming here, last night ( Friday ) was heaving with foodies and happy drinking couples! Fantastic atmosphere, truly good food and wonderful service by beautiful people. New landlord is making a brilliant difference.

Lovely relaxing Sunday lunch with the family. Staff were attentive but not intrusive, vibe was very relaxed and informal, and the food was top notch pub grub. Couple of pints of Brakespears wasn't bad either! Will be back.

Lovely Sunday lunch today. The roast beef was so tender it was like slicing through a piece of butter! My husband had the lamb and said it was the best he’s ever had! Ambience was good. Lovely welcoming roaring fire. The staff were professional, attentive and friendly and warm. Will 100% be returning. One request though. Can you please put another vegetarian option on the menu and maybe a couple of vegan options too.

Very friendly and a cosy pub in a great rural location. Sunday lunch was generous and arrived pretty quickly. Solid pub grub.

We found the Dewdrop by chance but everything is for a reason. We arrived when a band had just started. A Pub in a small village that is off the beaten track deserves custom. The menu is not huge but don't let it put you off. Delightful management and staff are a bonus too

As a family we've been coming to the dew drop for over 20 years & we've seen many a landlord come & go & though some have had a really good go nobody has been able to make it a success, with the food often being pretty patchy The new landlord is now turning out amazing food, the staff literally couldn't be more attentive or helpful & the place just seems a lot cleaner somehow! We had a nice drink yesterday in the new garden layout, & I can confirm our great Dane was made to feel very welcome by Simon the chef/landlord

My wife and I often used to have a very pleasant drink and meal at the Dewdrop. Beautiful setting, friendly staff and excellent food. Cannot recommend a better place for a sunny day.

Repeat Lunch!!!! IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW. Still the place everyone wants to be! The Price is rightfully on point for the quality of ingredients and the accurate cooking here and in a sign of these times too … Thoroughly recommend! Walked over with mum. Cheering atmosphere, lovely roaring wood burning stove, top pints of Brakspear in lovely clean glasses, really nice clean Pub, with top quality hand soap in the toilets mum says … Walked up with Mum and Dad for a revisit!!! Positively wonderful atmosphere, packed with happy people, fabulous Roast Beef and lovely Oxford Gold Brakspear. Spotlessly clean, it’s no wonder everyone wants to go here.

A lovely winter walk with friends to an excellent Sunday Lunch . Good food, nice environment , friendly , informative and helpful staff all combined to make this a very pleasant dining experience. I liked the very clear and simple guidelines around our muddy boots and dog (and other things). We all knew what our host deemed acceptable for us and other guests . I felt like a guest rather than client :)
