Discovered the Grouse in whilst out exploring. Great wee find. Staff were fantastic, very helpful and welcoming. Food was great, homemade lentil soup and sandwich. Never seen so many whisky's in one place.
Nice friendly service, just a pity their ovens aren't working , but saying that the soup like homemade, cheesecake to die for, will go back for sure
Lovely classic pub very friendly staff!
Enjoyed a very much needed cuppa and delicious carrot cake, after a long walk. Lovely staff. A great place if you like malt whisky.
What a great place to visit, very knowledgeable staff, ask them about their rare whiskeys and their absolutely massive selection. It's notnin the most obvious of places but defintely worth a visit. The homemode food is also worth the visit, we'll be back again soon 😊
A wonderful time capsule of the perfect seventies country inn. Over a hundred malts on optic, and many interesting older bottlings. They also do an excellent Scottish High Tea with the steak pie especially great.
What a pleasant surprise on our journey to come across this wonderful pub, the landlady and Maria where the most gracious hosts you could wish for, we sampled some home baked fare, which included carrot cake and possibly the most delicious chocolate and blueberry brownie, I have to say it was the be
This place is amazing. The worst thing in the world anyone could do is change it....OK so bad stuff....its remote. Can't get a taxi here. Nope miles from nowhere at all. Can't walk home from here. Someone has to drive. Decor a bit dated. Food we had was basic - cheese toasties and chips. Wont win
An absolute gem of a place. A time warp. Run by a mother and daughter. Old school cooking and non the worse for that. The whole experience is a bit 1970's, but great fun....absolutely bonkers whisky selection.
The Landlady here is a source of information, plenty of stories to tell, not to mention the 100's of whisky's behind the bar, if you want to try a selection of different whisky's this is the place to go, first pub we really found that knew about the whisky's they were selling.
Visited after getting soaked on a cycle. Great lentil soup, chips and a toastie. Coffee was great too.
Everyone should visit here, some real good history and the owner is a real charm. The homemade scones and cakes are worth the journey.
Lovely food, nice staff; aye it's remote and dated but who cares? Great place, will go back again.
Only stopped in the passing for refreshments but the people we encountered were super nice, welcoming and chatty. I won't ever drive past again without stopping.
The ultimate malt whisky finatics paradise. Over 200 top quality malt whiskys from all over scotland on optic. Impressive
