We attended Grafham sailing club for a RYA junior regional event. We found it to be a really welcoming club. The clubhouse and facilities, although they looked a little dated, were clean and spacious. The clubs cafe served good food and it was very reasonably priced, with friendly staff in attendanc
Vast expanse of water. Good cafe on site. Staff friendly, good area to camp with prior agreement. Race office and team very well organised and professional. Very handy for A1 as only 5 mins off. Recommend...
Great sailing venue
A favourite spot. Take the cycles and ride 6 miles round to Grafham Water. Then ride 3 miles back over the dam.
We paid for a days sailing here during the latest weekend that there was a windsurfer regatta going on. We were welcomed by the receptionist and she let us know where the changing facilities were. The charge for sailing on the Friday was £40 and if we wanted to sail on the Saturday would have been a
So nice to look over a large stretch of water.
Grass was so nice and well kept.
Cheap parking
Not overcrowded
Just looks beautiful there
Many flies close to water though 😯
It has a very big lake so you don't have to sail in tight circles, the clubhouse has an nice interior but the outside of the building spoils the otherwise pleasant view, other than that, it is a great place for sailing.
I'm a sailor so Graham Water is a fantastic place to go to. It was wonderful & sunny, the Club management were welcoming and the refreshments great. Why not go and visit yourself and get on the water.
Stayed there for a weekend crafting retreat. Food was fabulous and staff were very friendly and helpful. Will not hesitate to book again
Fantastic club if a little cold :) Really enjoyed the Solo Inland championships, very well run event, made the right decisions on wind etc.
It all depends what you are looking for.
If you are an experienced sailor looking for a large expanse of water and well run races. It is excellent. There are courses so you can come and learn to sail. If you are looking for a family friendly club with other children around then try a different club.
Fantastic venue for sailing, the club is well known for racing. Very friendly people, and the food was great too. A pleasure to visit. Thank you. 😁
Large reservoir, perfect for sailing and other water sports. Very organized and sociable club with many events, races and junior teams
Lovely lake. Fishing,Water sports. Wildlife. Cafe.
Very good my wife fell off her bike and cut her knee . Sarah the first aider cleaned it up and put a bandage on it to keep it clean thank you once again.
Very nice place to visit but you have to be a member if you want to participate in any of the activities. You will also need a sailing licence.
Amazing great for all ages and tones of opportunities to sail in a race.
Amazing food sold at the club house
Very large reservoir, good wind. I've enjoyed the free Saturday coaching offered by the club.
Gratham is known for it's lovely people. The sailing club is no different. Very welcoming and knowledgeable.
