Second visit here and it’s a lovely place. ‘Mein Host’ really knows his beers. Excellent atmosphere inside and outside the pub with very friendly locals that made us feel welcome- especially the group of young lads. Only reason we marked our food down was that we both ordered medium rare but was definitely medium+. If I’d have been in a ‘chain’ pub I would have sent them back but didn’t feel that would be fair on the owner- nobody in business can afford to lose money which is what would have happened. Also, the steaks were tasty, tender. Just slightly overcooked for our liking. Our Grandchild’s Spaghetti Bolognaise was excellent and very good value for money. With a child’s play area and dogs are welcome this pub is well worth a visit which we will do again very soon and I’ll try to remember to take some photographs. Finally just remembered that we had Heineken Silver, very nice and better than some other premium larger’s we have had.
Foods amazing, beers wet and cold and the bar staff are all amazing! Especially Keith and Charlotte (Inches)

The ale was spot on, the Sunday roast is how a pub should do.a Sunday roast absolutely cracking , nothing was to much trouble food was fantastic and the ale was ace.

So 22 of us had spent the previous two days partying. Let's say a few of us were hanging, and needed some food. A Sunday roast was just what was required. A phone call was made and to our surprise they had room to accommodate us. Really friendly people who looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. Give them a try

The breakfast , atmosphere, and entire team were fabulous Big thanks for pulling off extra catering last minute! We enjoy popping into the pub and always have a great experience 👏👏👏 well done !

Clean pub and lovely ale on tap however it wouldn't hurt your floor staff to try smiling once in a while rather than looking like they all want to jump off a cliff

Ramsey's Senior Lunch Club had a fantastic lunch here today 14/12/21 & the homemade Bakewell tart for pudding was absolutely delicious! Our thanks go to all of the White Lion staff who made it a perfect end to our clubs day out. We'll be back!
