This is the best place to go out for a meal they are so nice u can have a laugh with them and they are just so welcoming and it is so nice and cosy in there it just felt like I was at home I recommend this place very very highly this will be are local now thank you very much for a lovely night last night

Just popped in for something to eat whilst my car was being fixed. Had liver & bacon with chips, partner had pie & chips. The food was wholesome, tasty & hot. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming and it is definitely a place worth visiting.
Excellent pub for a nice quite drink a lovely evening meal out and a lively chat and putting the world to rights.

Nearly refurbished, we visited it after it had been open a week. They had done a good job. The menu is limited and caters for most tastes unless you have a vegetarian child in which case you will need to ask for something special. The meals were served reasonably quickly but were a bit bland. My steak pie needed more seasoning and kick. My colleague ordered a vegetarian pasta dish which arrived without any pasta. Our host was very apologetic and didn't charge us for our soft drinks. Could have done without music videos in background spoiling the atmosphere. It's good value though. Just wish kitchen gets its act together!

Came here for Sunday lunch with my wife & mother. Staff friendly & nice atmosphere. The meal was ok but came out on cold plates so didn't stay warm for very long & the beef we had was a bit tough & hard to cut. Maybe just bad luck but might be back again to try something else.
Met some friends for lunch and chose to visit the Dragoon. Made very welcome by the young lady behind the bar. Felt like a 'real pub' and everything was clean and presented well. Chose to eat outside and enjoyed some great pub grub and really great, friendly service. Pubs like this deserve to survive
Always a good atmosphere, great place to relax with a pint in the evening and the pubs is also divided into two halves; pub and lounge with the bar conveniently dividing the two, so if you wanted to have a quiet drink or a meal you can sit in the lounge (right) or want to play pool and hang out with friends there's the pub side (left). Good food and good value, I'd personally recommend breaded brie wedges with cranberry sauce as a starter. There's always usually specials on offer and the pricing is quite good and the portions certainly aren't stingy. The staff too are also friendly and helpful.
Popped in on my own for lunch to check out the "New Dragoon" which has recently undergone a huge transformation. Golden Oldies menu at good prices. Although opened up still retains a cosy feel with the new fresh colour schemes.
Don’t normally leave reviews, but after being recommended by a work colleague, was really impressed with the food, friendly company , and live sport. A brilliant find. Will come again when next in the area, for sure!!!
Very lovely village pub. Excellent food, reasonably priced. Carole is wonderful pub landlady. And the bar staff are very friendly. Highly recommend. :-)
Our fanily have adopted the Dragoon as our regular lunch stop after walking around Grafam Water.
The welcome, food and service are all excellent, even the dog gets spoilt.
The menu offers all the usual pub favourites at reasonable prices and there is a blackboard menu. As an added bonus, we have always got into the carpark but we do seem to turn up as most people are leaving.
Great food, great service, lovely olde worlde type pub. Will definitely visit again. Ask for carol she can't do enough for you.
