Since the new owners have taken over the quality of both product and service has improved greatly (back to how it used to be, and possibly even better IMHO). Always a friendly voice answers when I call to place my order. The young man who often delivers our food is a lovely polite young man and delivery is usually prompt and within the time scales given. Don't really go anywhere else for our fish and chip supers these days. Can't recommend Hodsons enough ;)

A few co-workers and I came here a few weeks ago. We really enjoyed our food. I thought the fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. The only reason why it doesn't get a 5 star is because I thought the batter could have used some flavoring. Other than the lack of seasoning, I thought the fish was cooked to perfection and not overly oily. The service was really good too!
One of the best fish and chips spots in Huntingdon, owner and staff are very friendly and food hot and tasty, definitely recommend!!
We were staying locally and went to Hodsons to eat in last night . We had medium cod, chips and mushy peas. It was the best we have had in years. The fish was freshly cooked.The batter was very light, crispy and tasty. The fish was so white and fresh and perfectly cooked. The chips were again freshly cooked and done to perfection and the mushy peas were tasty. To finish off the cup of tea was really good.
The guy frying was friendly and checked on us to ask if everything was OK. The server was a really pleasant lady who couldn’t have been more helpful.
If we lived in Hartford or Huntingdon we would certainly be regular customers.
We ate in rather than take away. Good choice, fish cooked fresh. Tasted really good, hot too. Very good service. Well worth it. Will do this again rather than take away.

Absolutely the best, Rock, Cod, Sausage in batter, mushy peas, fresh onion rings, curry sauce and chips, superb fresh food!

Lovely cod and chips. Crispy Batter and chunky cod. Lovely size portions. Beautiful, freshly cooked. Chips were perfectly cooked and crispy. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Came back after 3 months, nice “upgrade”, there’s menu at table for dine in. The fish is still well cooked with little grease. Enjoyed my food here.
EDITED AFTER FIRST REVIEW...... went to Hodsons again, a week after first review. Couldn't keep away as the food is so much better than elsewhere. Rang first to check was open. So glad it was. Lovely food, Fish particularly nicely cooked. Generous portions. Best in town.
