We were staying locally and went to Hodsons to eat in last night . We had medium cod, chips and mushy peas. It was the best we have had in years. We ate in rather than take away. Good choice, fish cooked fresh. Tasted really good, hot too. Very good service. Well worth it. Will do this again rather than take away.

Absolutely the best, Rock, Cod, Sausage in batter, mushy peas, fresh onion rings, curry sauce and chips, superb fresh food!

Lovely cod and chips. Crispy Batter and chunky cod. Lovely size portions. Beautiful, freshly cooked. Chips were perfectly cooked and crispy. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Came back after 3 months, nice “upgrade”, there’s menu at table for dine in. The fish is still well cooked with little grease. Enjoyed my food here.
EDITED AFTER FIRST REVIEW...... went to Hodsons again, a week after first review. Couldn't keep away as the food is so much better than elsewhere. Rang first to check was open. So glad it was. Lovely food, Fish particularly nicely cooked. Generous portions. Best in town.
