Called in here whilst staying at campsite in area. Clean and reasonably decorated. Had two bowls of scampi and chips. Cooked to perfection. Drinks, as always, very reasonably priced. Was surprised to find prices higher than our Wetherspoons in Lincoln. Thought they were all priced the same. Only one person serving with a few of us waiting. Big pub and big bar for only one member of staff to manage.
Would definitely return when next in area.
I really appreciate the history behind this Wetherspoon establishment. This branch always has good food and polite and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend :-)
Full English Breakfast 🍳 for £6.34. Great value, quick service and clean restaurant. Plug sockets for working on laptop. Can order everything with QR code without leaving your seat.
Cannot fault it, the food is always fantastic, served fast, plenty of tables, all the seats are very comfortable. We come here every couple weeks and we have never been disappointed, not even once. The only downside is the lack of free parking, there is a car park across the road near the george hotel, but it's £2 for parking. Still worth it though.
Lovely room. The bar/restaurant is awesome - such a beautiful conversion. Food is excellent, as always. The staff are wonderful. Truly lovely. I have never seen a ladies toilet like it. My only one criticism would be there are no tables for smokers - you have to go right outside the gate by the road!
Food was good for the prices cooked perfectly. Drinks cheapest around and the have offers on for food and drink. Order at the bar with your table number. Former church and house with some fetures still in place makes for a nice decor.
We loved the ambience of the restaurant and the food was tasty. The nicest thing is you get hot chocolate which is my favourite. Nice time with friends and the staff is really helpful and cooperative.

Wonderful pub and hotel. The hotel was a little bit pricey for my liking - but it was an last minute booking well into the night, so I can absolutely understand that.
The novelty of being able to take cans and bottles of beer from the bar, with a glass, to your hotel room, will likely bring me back again.
The room and bathroom were lovely, best shower I've had in a while.
Cheers!
The reception could be a little friendlier and also get one's name right when corrected and spelled for the receptionist upon arrival.
The receptionist was not busy at all but had no time to show where the pub/hotel entrance was, nor was there any attempt on selling Huntingdon to me as a guest.
I rang the reception as I needed help with booking a taxi as the number listed online did not work, but noone answered my call to the reception. I went to call the reception from the reception, without anyone answering the call.
The pub staff is professional and welcoming
The food could do with a nudge up.
You know what you get when you go to Spoons. The food is good the staff are good
And the women's toilets are the best ever
Great food and setting.
My sister fell unwell today Thursday 2/10/23 all the staff bar none were fantastic in helping her
A massive thank you to you all

Sandford house is located inside an exceptional building that used to be a church, then a movie theatre and also a post office. Impressive history, worth looking around the place quite thoroughly. Nevertheless is a Witherspoon's, portions are quite small and prices are relatively ok.
Great Wetherspoons Hotel.
Beautifully converted building.. very spacious. The ladies toilets were amazing, clean and unique with lovely features and a sofa.
The hotel is situated to the rear of the pub, our room, 104 was modern with a big accessible shower. Customer service (hotel & pub) was spot on, friendly, pleasant and helpful.
The reason we only gave a 4 star, the mattress was awful, hard and with springs that kept digging in resulting in back ache. We only stayed 1 night. Also the toilet paper within the room was very thin, better quality loo roll in the pub though.
Whilst there is no free parking at the hotel, we managed to park nearby, no restrictions or fees..
Location was ideal for what we needed.
Nice historic surroundings.
Quick service.
Hot plated food
Usual reasonable pricing.
Toilets just 1 floor up (2nd for ladies).
A lovely bar and restaurant. We were there on 31st October Halloween. Great staff dressed up and enjoying the evening whilst working so hard.
Hotel comfortable pity velux window had a blind but no pole in room to close. Woken with light very early as well as the noisy family with children banging on doors and shouting think they were Spanish. Even the adjoining door which was locked had the handle constantly rattled.
We did complain when going down for breakfast. We were told the night porter should have sorted as would have been on duty. Where was he?
So not a good night's sleep. Sadly the first time ever complained about Wetherspoons hotels up and down the country believe me we sing your praises and recommend.
More awareness in your hotel needed of noisy guests I am afraid.
