From the moment you arrive to when you leave, the staff, though obviously busy, are very attentive to ones needs and wants. From the Carvery to mixed grills. From the single portion or a shared Hartford Mill ice cream the presentation of the food is worth every star.

After an annoying wasted trip to the marsh harrier we arrived here, to be seated by a friendly guy in a lovely window seat. Food and drinks ordered. Bit disappointed they’d run out of chicken nuggets for the boy but pizza filled the gap. Wife and mother in law had the carvery and it looked and smelled amazing!! I had the most amazing burger ever!! Thoroughly enjoyed our food! Took a while, but was good Friday, waitress kept us posted so the ladies could get the carvery and we all ate together. Will frequent this place from now on!

Took my parents last Sunday for the carvery , it was amazing, the best thing they have done, would recommend to friends. Staff very attentive , please people remember to leave a little tip for them, I would assume they don't get the tips like before now you pay at till, they deserve tips.

Arrived early to eat Sunday lunch and got a table outside. Beautiful setting for a very reasonable priced Carvery. Wouldn't call it top quality food but for what we paid it's what I'd expect. Cheap & cheerful with great outdoor setting

Great place. Good food. However for the Mac n Cheese, it would be better if the extra chicken, bacon and bbq sauce were to come in a different bowl not on top of the Mac n Cheese. Loved the food.

Booked dinner here last night and were told first available slot was 7.10pm. We were put in a dark corner with air con very cold and a very loud group next to us. We asked if we could be moved as it was too cold and they said no. The loud group made it unbearable so we asked again to be moved and this time they agreed and moved us into a different section. We can’t understand why they booked us so late and refused to move us first time as half the tables were empty. Apart from the poor start, the food was good and great value with ample servings.

We had the carvery and it was delicious. Great value for money and all of the food was piping hot, well seasoned and absolutely delicious. All of the staff were friendly and I loved the Halloween decorations and costumes being sported. Would recommend to anyone.

Really nice resruarant with a very large outdoor patio overlooking a beautiful Inlet of water. Lots of long boats and bird life, such a peaceful setting looking across the water. We had the basics... chicken strips these are definitely for kids as they are small and appear to.be a packaged product, wings were cooked to perfection (crispy, juicy and tender) and a bacon cheeseburger w/ cheddar cheese chips(fries) cooked just right. Yes I would go back anytime and definitely try either the fish and chips or the carving station, both looked amazing as well. No table service, but food came to us quite quickly and it was still hot....yeah!!!

The food was lovely, my daughter had children's size carvery and we had 3 sharer dishes wich were very nice but a little small, prices were good only disappointment was that the children's play area is separate and children can only go in accompanied by adult and cannot take your drink in there, we had to wait for half hour after our food for a space to get in. Update Went back a couple of weeks later to have the carvery on a Sunday, the queue was very long ,everything was very nice accept the beef was extremely tough and chewy, gammon was excellent, very disappointed that there wasn't any Brussel Sprouts like they had when we visited previously mid week, we will definitely be coming back but just probably not on a Sunday again .staff were also very friendly and attentive even though it was busy

My family and I went out for a meal. We had to wait for over 35 minutes for the 2 last meals to be served. We spoke to Emily who was so helpful and finally we received our food. Because we had waited for so long as a kind gesture we were offered 2 deserts for free. We enjoyed our food. Emily came to check if everything was okay. Her customer service was great.

Be a pig get a large carvery, they're 14 hour slow cooked meats are the best, the Turkey is always moist and really tasty plus you get to look out over the water while you eat.

Fabulous carvery but why do you use cheap condiments? Horseradish sauce is like water and such a shame as the produce on the carvery is excellent. Team hanging around the reception area is frustrating when there is a queue at the bar and only one serving with 5 (2 clearly management) loitering at the entrance. Could be a great experience instead of a mediocre one. Food great

We visit the wacky playhouse on a regular basis and I can honestly say its one of the best we have been too. The staff are always friendly and polite and the kids menus are very reasonably priced

Having been here a few times now, I really do enjoy coming here. This should have been an easy five-star, but unfortunately, it lacks the fifth star due to the plates not being cleaned properly. FOOD IS EXCELLENT!

I visited for the first time and both of us chose the carvery. Chef Steve certainly knows his stuff - the fayre was fantastic, and there is no doubt that we could have gorged ourselves silly. Extremely well cooked, prepared and presented. To top it off, his staff are super too, with a special mention to Sak who was an excellent host! Will I be back? Heck, yes!

Best steak ever! It's our go to place when in need of a steak, and fri was one of those days. Our praise and thanks to the chef was passed to her....I'm sorry I can't remember the chefs name, but she sure knows how to cook a great steak!

Haven't been here for a while but on the off chance on a sunny Sunday decided to eat out. Didn't book and on arrival we were told an estimated wait for a table was 45 minutes but outside we could sit anywhere striaghtaway - perfect!! Plenty of choice on the menu & all reasonably priced. Considered the carvery but it must have been popular because the queue was long. Nonetheless we enjoyed our meal very much & despite the restaurant being busy, service was quick. If ever we get another sunny day we will go back again to eat outside!!
